For some reason I like to think that Adam is secretly the true villain, maybe the CEO of Playtech making sure that the other employers do what they are told. Think about it. He enjoyed the 'reward' system and encouraged the others to do it as well, almost as if it were his idea. He showed the other employees what will happen if you read confidential documents, do prevent the others from doing so. He showed them what happens if you die outside of work hours. He showed them not to cry at work.
So I don't know, is Adam secretly working with Rowan to manipulate everyone else?
