Gosh, I wish I had my 1950's mother's combination telephone/ gooseneck bendable lamp/ashtray thingy. It was a thing of beauty. I remember it well.It housed the standard black rotary dial phone on the chrome saucer top shelf, an ashtray level that swiveled out; and possibly a third level telephone book saucer also. She was a woman before her time.

In the 70's my brother went to Mexico and bought an ashtray that's on top of a wooden stand. It has two matching large square ashtrays with blue tile in the bottom. I have those but can't find anything like it on ebay.

Basically, the rule of thumb should be any recognizable brands that you see will likely bring good money as an ashtray - or anything else. I have discovered - and I'm sure many of you others know - that empty boxes and other branded packaging or things you would expect to throw away will actually sell... I garbage-picked a Gucci shoebox and gift bag that will go for $10-15 each.
I used to watch your videos for all the great information, but anymore I'm hoping to catch a glimpse of your sweet boy. Such a delightful little guy. Hope he enjoys school!

It is crazy,,,,small things..that are nit like all these comic characters I do not know...which i suppose should not be an excuse but they seem overwhelming and next to that some more recent bands etc, you know being younger,,..but these,,,one could add to a niche you are more apt to see when hunting at glass and pottery and enamel etc. Which I love to look at..thanks Nurse Flipper. It is crazy and wonderful. And thank God for little boys...so sweet..thanks for sharing.

I was hoping to see mine in the mix, but I guess I'll have to get Worthpoint. This is crazy because Friday is when I learned the maker (I've had it well over a year) & here you are making an ashtray video! I have a red & white Fratelli Toso clam shell double based vase/ashtray. No comps for me, but I can stare at those in the big ashtray museum that arent for sale. I felt it was special but never figured it would be that special!

Investigate the AC Rehberger airplane ashtrays especially the 1938 Boeing 314 China Clipper. Another would be the Victor Pastushin TWA Boeing 307 Stratoliner Ashtray.
Anything by Rolex would be valuable and worth picking up

Yes, I did watch it. You called a cross stitch pillow needlepoint. There are so many different types...counted cross stitch, crewelwork, embroidery, etc. In fact, some of the counted cross stitch charts go for over $600. Mirabella lady of the flag and others. FYI Bauhaus is pronounced like "Bow House." It pays to study other languages! Or in this case have knowledge about music... Very famous '80s British band... In this case the term "bauhaus" is referring to a particular art aesthetic that grew out of the German art school of the same name (which, as you can deduce, is what the band named themselves after).

I have my father's clear glass row boat ash tray that he used in the garage. Don't know if it is worth anything. Wish I would have kept his amber ash tray in a floor stand( the handle was not on it)
