  • Time-lapse on the life journey of a Dandelion from bud to bright yellow blooming and seedling head away. It's mesmerizing to see the seedlings finally leave their nesting origin.

Butterflies and snakes are common symbols of change and transformation, but no one ever recognizes that the flower we distinguish as a weed magically turns into a wish flower. Awesome!

I wonder how long this whole process takes and how many more dandelions come from that one 🤔

I see that your comment is 9 months old but I will try to answer and hopefully you will see it. The plant goes into a semi dormant stage to conserve its energy for seed production. Once the seeds are set it sends resources back to the stem to lift the seeds up so that they can be caught and carried by the wind. Fun fact: dandelions were imported by the earliest settlers in Nort America as both a food and medicinal resource. Since the 50s people have tried to eradicate them from their lawns when at one time they were so valuable people risked their lives to bring them across oceans

@@stalstonestacy4316what an awesome fact! I think since pollen count is up, I’ve had more on my lawn this year, and I just think they add such a pretty pop of color! Like sunshine.
