Carmit's voice is awesome. I can't understand why they didn't let her sing more in the group. Same for Melody.
The other blond girl can sing a lot too. OMG.

From what I remember.... The Pussycat Dolls was a burlesque dance group of girls created by Robin Antin way before the band we know today with Nicole. Robin is actually one of the dancers in white in this video. Nicole wasn't a part of the group originally. The third singer I believe was the original lead vocalist. Carmen Electra used to be the one that you would see front and center when they were doing their burlesque shows. I think Carmit, Ashley, and Kimberly were original dancers from the the group.

Sunset Beach That makes sense then. They do get a bit carried away with their dancing, IMHO.

Carmit is in the Pussycat Dolls since the beginning...she was part of the burlesque line up and was kept in the recording group. Ashley, Kimberly and Jessica are all professional dancers and got in the Pussycat Dolls around 2000s. Nicole, Melody and Kaya auditioned for the Pussycat Dolls when they were looking for singers to set them as a recording group.

Kaya Jones is trash I’m glad she left...GRL I loved but they never really got the chance to develop their vocals really as they danced a lot and didn’t harmonise- in terms of singing Jazzy and Paula were the least vocally talented, then Lauren, then Emmalyn/Natasha and I would say Simone (RIP) was the one that had the best control and the most potential it’s a shame she ended her life she was very talented and the group had so much potential 😔

This performance is from Fashion Rocks 2004 where the intro sang Marc Almond. Back then The Pussycat Dolls were a whopping 10(!) member group including singers: Nicole Scherzinger, Carmit Bachar, Melody Thornton & Kaya Jones, and dancers: Robin Antin, Cyia Batten, Kasey Campbell, Ashley Roberts, Jessica Sutta & Kimberly Wyatt. Shortly after Kaya Jones left and then Cyia & Kasey. Then Robin stopped down from being a member to managing the group and the rest is history 🤗

For live vocals of the other girls check out:
Melody: Cage bird sings & her medley of Aretha Franklin & etta james (it was on the morning show)
Jessica: she performed Don't cha & check out "don't you worry child." Defenitely check out Don't you worry child because it really shows off her vocals.
Ashley: check out her performance of her song Clockwork
Carmit: check out her singing the national anthem, she performed it at some boxing match
Kimberly: I couldn't find too much live vocals from her, but she does sing live on a song called Candy. Then she sings live with Taio Cruz on a song called "Higher." She also sings one of her songs called "Stars In Your Eyes", but it is autotuned a lot, so you can't really tell what she is doing vocally.

Nicole is obviously the best and strongest singer but I'm intrigued to see where you think the rest lie. Melody is a good singer when she isn't forcing it to get into the limelight, and Carmit (the redhead) has a unique tone to her voice, she's definitely the one who takes the lower harmonies. Carmit's, the blonde one's (who I thought was the singer from Cascada lol) and Melody's parts sound pre-recorded or very autotuned.

Jessica and Ashley were singers as well: they sang before Nicole/Melody/Kaya ever joined, and were made backup signers after Kaya left as the label wanted to bolster the vocal ranks some more. The problem is, they never got the chance to sing (though Jessica got a couple tracks right when the group was ending). Kim was one of the members that was a pure dancer, along with Robin, Cyia, Kasey and Claude. Her even being in the group was up in the air until AFTER they filmed Don't Cha, since at that point all the other pure dancers had left and they weren't sure if they wanted her in the group when she can't sing.

I wish record companies wouldn’t rehash Northern Soul tracks in a horrible way and where the original artist gets no recognition, it was bad enough when they first did the record as it ‘wasn’t Motown' ,they were poorly paid and overworked and a fair few died young, very sad indeed

hello, well to be honest there is a lot of production behind their voices, nicole according to has the best voice, in my opinion her voice is a bit forced, as always trying to show that she reaches high musical notes, and that all the time It's not good, it would be interesting to hear a more real voice more personal, and the other girls should sing more live

At this point Nicole was suffering from bulimia so she was actually very inconsistent. Melody oversang depending on her mood. Carmit was the most consistent when she was there. I think because she never went over the top, people tend to forget her vocal contributions.
