Sweet & Sour Pork | Subuta 酢豚 | wa's Kitchen

When I was little, my mom used to make these. It is a very traditional dish of the japanese household. While the sour element may turn off some, I have kept the vinegar to the low side, allowing even kids to enjoy it. Try it out!

Ingredients :
- 250g pork
- a dash of pepper and salt
- 1 tbsp cooking sake amzn.to/4a8n9r9 (or white cooking wine)
- 1 tsp grated ginger
- 1/2 carrot
- 1/2 onion
- 1/4 green bell pepper
- 1 garlic clove
- 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar or rice vinegar
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 2 tbsp ketchup
- 1 tbsp mirin amzn.to/3y6SqgJ
- 1/4 tsp chinese chicken bouillon powder amzn.to/3UtARPG
- 1 tbsp cooking sake or white wine
- 1/2 tsp potato starch
