they talk about ice in Portland as if there is no such thing as rock salt. i know the argument about salt in the water ways, but the river is so full of pesticides I don't see how salt is going to hurt it, and you only need to salt the sidewalks and streets maybe 2 days out of the year. It's insane.

Actually, it is because of global " warming" climate change. The polar winds, usually spin faster and keep this stuff way north. But because of the severe climate changes the polar system is weak and allows the cold air to drift and settle much further south. Yes, it sucks

During the summer it was hot; now it's cold. The weather changed!!! Last year it was hot in the summer, too. And the year before that and the year before that. The climate remains the same. There is NO proof to the contrary.
