- I’m so excited to finally be able to share these designs! I had them sketched out for absolutely ages but I’ve been so busy with work in real life lately I had to stop working on them halfway through to focus on other things. I’m particularly pleased with Reebro’s more cyborg design and Jeeode’s colourful crystals! Also, some details I wanted to point out is Grumpyre losing its eyesight as a reference to real life bats and Humbug’s stripes turning grey in their old age. I hope you like them! :)

the idea of making elder grumpyre blind as a reference to bats being blind is a pretty nice detail

Don't bats have one of the world's best sights ever?!
If it's nocturnal it has really good eyesight. That's the law. And they don't even need to have eyes when they can hear you moving and steal your fruit
Edit: I googled it and it turns out most bats are colorblind. No real reason to see color if night is all black n white

I've loved this series since it started and having ethereals is a heavenly surprise! They look amazing with my favorite being grumpyre. Outstanding work as always
The Eldes ethereal are wonderful
