3D video anatomy tutorial on the superior mesenteric artery using the Zygote Body Browser (www.zygotebody.com). If you want to learn about the arterial blood supply to the abdominal organs, this video provides a background on the superior mesenteric artery which supplies the midgut structures. I have also done a tutorial on the coeliac axis and the inferior mesenteric artery which relate to this tutorial, so check them out as well!

I only popped into this tutorial to get some context after seeing a film mentioning abdominal wounds.
I ended up subscribing to the channel. I'm a geeky layman who loves a good peek at what the doctors study. Excellent content.

2013 had a ruptured (L) colic artery. Not very nice. Repaired by radiographed anterior procedure. (Dr Vivec Shrivastava, Hull). Probable result of previous type A aortic dissection of aortic root, pericardial tamponade, ascending, arch, and descending aorta by emergency repair in 2008.
