    • @UNITEDBYTRUCKS

      Nope. PSI has all brand new engine and trans harness together. You just have to use factory body harness and tie into new PSI harness

    Awesome, I have a 1982 c10 can you tell what year LS 3 I should get and transmission and do I need a new gas tank thanks I have no experience what so ever on swapping engine but I hope am able to do it.

    • @UNITEDBYTRUCKS
      @UNITEDBYTRUCKS  Před 5 lety +1

      You pick the motor and trans and go from there. Just make sure that your harness, motor mounts, and throttle body all match your application. the fuel tank could be a stock '87 tank with the efi provisions and then drop in a Walbro 255 tank. We chose to go with a new tank and AN flexible hose, which I recommend the new lines and fittings. They'll make the install much easier.

    What did you think about that PSI harness? I used one on my build and wasn't too excited about it. I ended up re-crimping a lot of the terminals. Hey, RW! Man, I hate you had that experience with PSI. I've used them on 3 trucks now and never had an issue, other than having to extend the MAF wire with an extension.
