Iowa Fan here. I am such a fan of Dawn Staley. She has to be on the Mt Rushmore of Greatest coaches. She started from scratch with this team 2023/2o24 season, to put together a great team with a deep bench, to get these results. She really is an inspiration. Very proud we have women like Dawn in this world.

What I also find impressive is how interview after interview both before yesterdays game and afterward, Dawn continually draws attention to Caitlin Clarks amazing accomplishments and also for her teammates.
I swear both her and Caitlin must have been cut from the same stone.
They shine with grace and dignity!
@@keithbell9348 Thank you, I think they both see the moment they are in and instead of making a spectacle and being outrageous, they show class & respect. I believe they do this because they both love the game of basketball and know that they have elevated women's sports. Just really Proud.
I often criticize Gino Auriemma for not playing the bench players so that they can improve the way they play.
You can not win a national championship with just six (6) players.
Players are not machines.They are humans and get tired.
The more the bench players are called upon, other things being equal, the better the team gets. The bench players help SC win the game.
I love UCONN, but Gino needs to make some adjustments as to the bench players to be participants in all the games.
Practice improves a player way of playing any game.

I am overjoyed for coach Staley and the SC Gamecocks. Being a Philadelphia native I am especially proud of Dawn Staley for her perseverance and tenacity while staying extremely humble about her incredible accomplishments.
I wished that the anchor person didn’t cut her off when she explained her reason for an emotional moment. The hosts raised the issue but it appeared that when Dawn Staley started to provide a spiritual answer she wasn’t allowed to finish her thoughts. I hope that we haven’t become such a secular society that anything more than a two second sound bite about our spiritual self makes folks uncomfortable.
