I love this game.
I skip all dialogue not counting main cut scenes.
I got it day 1.
Huge X-Com fan.
Having 17 Superheroes is just awesome and the combat is so deep and satisfying.
Hands down my favorite Superhero game.
I strongly recommend the DLC Characters so you can go from 13 to 17 Heros.
Love it.
Great review! Midnight Suns is now on-sale-I purchased it after watching your review and I personally Love this game! I like it wayyyy more than the Avengers game. I was a huge Marvel Ultimate Alliance fan for all 3 games and Midnight Suns is really giving off MUA vibes despite being turn-based which is way more fun than I would have imagined. Got the game on my ps5 but I have other games I want to play and beat before including armoured core 6 which I may platinum just because of it being a mech game. Hopefully I can get around to this in December. This game honestly I was interested in straight away when I found out about the combat, the combat alone was the main reason I wanted to buy this game, marvel characters as well are a lovely bonus.
Personally, I found the game awesome! Sad to see that it won’t be getting a sequel.
It's a nice add to the genre though for sure 🖖

played the demo and thought it was great! this is on sale atm for 30$ for the legendary edition normally 100$ so i'll def. grab this while its that cheap. seems like a great time to be had.

@@phatmanNumba1 nice! I just got to the mission where you help Spider-Man (about three story missions in) and loving it so far. Trying my best to not wiki anything lol except for who likes what and what gifts are good for which character. Mostly playing blind and really enjoying it. Have two playthroughs for the platinum though so I'll have some good replay value.
Picked this up because I had an itch for a taxtics game and it was cheap. To say the least I was pleasantly surprised. With DLC this is what a full $60-70 game should be imo. Would love to see the team take on a new cast of heroes
Bought enhaced edition for 24 euros... Its a steal...
I was disappointed with chimera squad but this is a gem... Great base and hero management and addictive combat... Graphics and writing could be better but its not as bad as reviewers are saying. I played a lot of xcom so im accustomed to firaxis styled graphics... I will probably buy a season pass so i could have all the heros... I really dont understand the critcism, i was avoiding the game and i started it because needed a break from 3rd person adventure games...

Also when I saw venom and Deadpool albeit in the season pass I knew I was going to buy it.

@@TheCriticallyClueless damn thats a shame I quite enjoyed it though I love that i can have all the cool playable characters in the game be some of my favorite members of the Avengers and X-Men teams hopefully it'll get success over time from the fans man
Definitely loved tbis game and wished we would have gotten atleast another season. But lets hope the modding community will support this game...

Great review! How would you rank it compared to xcomm 2? I haven't played either but thinking of trying 1.. which would you say is better?
Xcom 2 is the mark to beat for all turn based games. However bg3 beats that now haha 🖖
@@TheCriticallyClueless thanks! Maybe I will start with xcomm 2 then since it's free on Playstation plus. For turn based games with movement, I've only played bit of fire emblem 3 houses & Mario/rabbids. Now with my ps5 I'm looking into other games

The life sim aspect of the game reminds me of Persona, that's why I really like it.
What would you recommend? 23,99€ for the base game or 39,99€ for the Legendary Edition?

I swear sometimes I don’t draw any action cards. Only heals and power ups. Those are fine but I have to beat the enemy too. Come on man.

was reluctant because of the original price point. the legendary edition is $40 on steam now so i grabbed it.
Its on sale right now but i was wondering what would be the percentage of the cutscenes/dialogues vs the actual game (gameplay). 60/40? i hope its not another movie/game.

They should have removed the social aspect entirely. Or they should have made a dating sim. I wonder when we are getting a Xcom without heroes.
When I heard “character creator” I envisioned myself creating a Superman type hero. Not a sword wielding transexual. I expect more from a character creator than just some hair styles ands skin colors. What a rip off.

To me this game felt rushed and unfinished. The character creator sucks. SO MUCH TALKING!!! And it is very poorly written dialogue. And I am only a couple of hours in but it seems to be evolving into a D and D game instead of a Marvel game. What is with all the magical crap?
Sad that it was such a massive flop, we wont be getting anything like this for a VERY long time. Its good but it suffers from bland visuals alot of the time, and poor modern disney activst writing. Marvel has an awful habbit of hiring non fans, and making sure they are activists and know 0 about what they are doing. Its present here although the writing isnt as bad as modern marvel comics are, i am able to get something out of it atleast.

Shame there isnt more xmen or avenger characters. Stuck with overrated Blade, cringe captain marvel and deadpool, Morbius a character no one cares about, The worst character ever made Venom. Would have been better with Jean Gray, Cyclops, Thor, Black Widow, and Fantastic 4 characters.
