Thank you so much for making these trust worthy reviews, I was about to buy tundra trackers to upgrade my HTC Vive 2.0, but i saw the tracker is smaller drift faster than HTC Vive, because the base station doesn't see when you turn your body some time, by walking IRL around your room, I'm looking for HTC Wave Tracker the next-gen of Vive trackers, it doesn't need base station because it tracks their self.
LMFAO this video was amazing very good product review where you went in depth on your experience with the tundra trackers. I use 3 vive 3.0 trackers with two 2.0 base stations while using a quest 2. I always wondered what peoples experiences were with the tundras and I have a friend who uses tundra and says they are terrible. Good job and keep up the great work :D oh and listening to your voice sounded like I was watching an ASMR video
I'm awaiting on my slimeVR trackers, I have vive trackers rn and they work fine but also get some jitter due to usb bus being overloaded, slimes seem like peak tracking, who cares about a couple mm of accuracy when we all use tracker smoothing tools anyway
Omg, I backed the Tundra Trackers 2+ years ago and have had the waist issue ever since. I would never have guessed the controllers might be the issue. I also didn't know you could buy a second dongle. I was considering buying a Vive 3.0 for my waist, but maybe I should try that dongle first. Thanks for the info.
just letting you know that's no longer an issue with the tundras and quest 2 controllers they probably fixed it in a update but as of now i dont experience that (it could be my 2.0 basestations tho)
My tundra’s coming tomorrow. Appreciate the review and hope I don’t have the connection dongle interface so I don’t have spend extra money on another dongle. Since I’m using the valve index with the 2.0 base stations, I hope I’m okay😭
Dongle part is especially good knowledge. Luckily I am upgrading from vive so I could use two dongles easily (x4 tundra set) to avoid any issues should they pop up. Good review. 👏👏
If you have left over vive trackers, 2.0 or 3.0, I recommend using one for your hip! It helps during certain movements, and when it dies you can just swap it out super quick :D
Hey, I wanna get into vr chat. I kinda wanna go in like deep and was wondering should I make my own model or do you recommend commissioning someone to do it for me? If so who would you recommend?
Personally, i have never had an avatar commissioned, but there are tons of vrchat avatar creators who sell models. jinxxy.com/market is a good place to start, loads of avatar creators advertise there.
So I recently got the tundra trackers and a 1.0 base station. I have been having so much trouble trying to get the base station to connect. If you could respond to this or maybe even make a video I would be highly grateful because I don’t want to feel like I wasted money.
hi! sorry for the super late response, i hope you figured it out, but if you haven't, im here. if you'd like i could add you on discord and we could figure it out on there!
if you use a quest just plug your base station in and connect your trackers base stations will appear in steamvr after bc quest doesnt use linkbox/the bluetooth steamvr is looking for :)
if you want a smaller tracker, go with tundra, otherwise, vive works pretty much the same and it is about the same cost. tundras are def worth it tho, great battery life and hold up well over time.
If you want to save even just a bit of money, and have smaller trackers tundra is the pick :D The dongle is super nice aswell, Hate having to use all of my usb slots :(
I had the same issue with my SW4 dongle. The fourth one lost tracking all the time, so I paired it to a SteamVR dongle. Two dongles is still better than 4 I guess. The base stations are so fragile. I had them set up for a year, moved and then one went red immediately after moving. Now two years later, no issues. I think it's best to not touch them.

Update? I also have a index and was thinking of either the vive 3.0 trackers or the tundra ones

@@xgoblinbitxhx super glad to here this, just ordered mine
Could be that your using 1.0 stations but I've had no issues with my tundra trackers since I have 2.0 stations
so that's why my tracker often behaves weird. thanks for the advice. i will try to buy another dongle
