  • Hello. I love to bake and have tried most kitchen machines and spiral mixers on the market. In this video I will show you when I use my 5 different kneading machines. Hope you like the video and it can help you choose the right machine. For kneading dough, spiral mixers are my favourite. although they are a little more expensive, you get a much better result and the machines are of much better quality. so I recommend a spiral mixer if you want bakery quality for your baked goods.
I used cold water and flour from the fridge, it was about 4 degrees.
final temperature of the dough after about 18 minutes was..
Kenwood 13 degrees (only worked for 8 minutes?
    Wilfa probaker 31 degrees.
KYS Pro Baker Easy 23 degrees
    Famag 25 degrees.
    Sunmix 23 degrees.

I'm in the process of deciding which spiral mixer to get for my pop-up pizza restaurant. This is a really good and comprehensive test. Thanks.

That is a terrific video mate. Thankyou. I have a Kenwood XL Elite currently for bread and pizza doughmainly but I am seriously considering buying a KYS.I am unsure whether to get this 5L model with the tilt or the 7+ whith bigger capacity and no tilt.

      Hater's gonna hate
+ the Famag distributor in some part of EU has an horrible customer service. You pray not having any issue.
You can't buy a replacement piece if you're not the original owner, even if you have invoice. The first owner has to do it.
      Like, WTF ?
You won't serve me even if I am paying the needed piece. How does it matter ?

Ain't because it isn"t that popular yet that it means bad quality or bad service, it's not a chinese company but Norwegian, they'd probably have more trouble is they were selling crap to people. (+ you can pay with paypal, I might be wrong, but I believe it also brings some consumer protection)
"We are constantly working to expand and improve our product range to meet the growing demand in the market. The KYS brand was established in 2021, and our success story has continued with subsequent models such as the KYS Pro Baker. Our main goal is the production of high quality and functionality in all our products. To ensure that you as a customer can be sure that the machines are of top quality, we have trademark registered KYS kneading machines in our largest markets, e.g. EU, UK, USA and China."
Also, about well known brand :
"What is the KM made from? Where is it made? Why is it made in China?
All Kenwood Chefs are designed in the UK and are now made in China at our Delonghi Group factories. They are constructed from a combination of stainless steel, die cast aluminium, food safe materials and BPA free plastics. All parts that can come into contact with food are tested and certified to be BPA free and food safe. Link to BPA statement"
"Some KitchenAid products are manufactured in Ohio, South Carolina, Iowa, Mississippi, Indiana, Arkansas, Ontario, and Quebec and others are manufactured in China, and its appliances are distributed throughout North America. All KitchenAid stand mixers are assembled in its factory in Greenville, Ohio."
"Ooni is an outdoor pizza oven company based in Edinburgh, Scotland. The ovens are designed in Scotland but made in China."
Yeah, even from china, it is expensive, and I bet people are happy to find alternatives weeks after weeks, doesn't matter where it comes from, as long as it does the job..
A lot can come from China, doesn't always mean bad, also, found a few post telling the belt wasn't tighten enough on famag, or the bowl beeing loose, but yeah, that can be the case for any factory, quality issue happens, doesn't mean it's a bad product or company, all that matter is how they handle it.

Seems right. The new line easy baker 5 is findable as HM-5TD 5l 2kg and the 10 as HM-10TD 10l 4KG
Anyway, that site only gives 1 year warranty vs 2 years on KYS. And with shipping it costs the same...
One more user with trouble in the FAMAG mixer user group on facebook... Bowl not rotating correctly...

Are the new Kenwood mixers (such as shown in this video) as good as the Chef Titaniums from a few years ago? I was surprised when the Kenwood shut off, but a newer KitchenAid mixer would have shut off, too. Thanks for the comparison video.

I was looking for a clean pumpkin shape dough and I agree with your order. KYS, Norwegian brand is not bad though with the pricepoint. Lifetime warranty on motor as well from what I read on their website. I wonder what motor they’re using. I believe Sunmix uses Mitsubishi and the my visual favorite. Like others have said, it would’ve nice to get a temp reading.
