Did we watch the same video? Joe Rogan sounded like a fool.
@@dommiedarkoh8816 did YOU watch the video? Rogan destroyed Dave Rubin.
@@dommiedarkoh8816 Did we watch the same video? A stoned Joe Rogan presented a clear argument why building regulations are ABSOLUTELY necessary . Rubin came across like a 12 year old boy who had no idea what he was talking about. He replied with weak arguments about how the free market would correct any problems. The free market & zero building regulations doesn't prevent building collapses in underdeveloped nations, does it? Even in highly regulated European nations, or in USA, builders cutting corners and defying regulations is still a problem. Our courts are full of people suing others over malpractice, or even injured workers taking action over their boss's negligence & workplace safety.
I see ignorant right wing nut jobs complaining about "over regulation", or complaining about worker's unions, stuff like that. But most normal people view these things as progress. An example of how our society advances forwards, step by step, moving from the dark ages when people got screwed over to a fair and just society where people are protected by the law and given basic rights.

Sam Seder: "... I don't care."
That's the only reasonable response to such an unimportant, oddball claim.
Dim Poole thought he had a nuclear trump card with that one too. Really took the wind out of his sails when it was dismissed.
To be completely honest, I think we generally agree that complete utilitarianism is a worse moral framework than deontology. But Tim Pool sounds like an idiot
There’s a reason Doctor Manhattan agreed with Adrien Veidt and not Rorschach, it’s because Rorschach was a narrow minded conservative maniac who couldn’t see the big picture. Veidt was the true hero in Watchmen.

Second, Trump was not an "unknown quantity." He was a man of notoriously poor character, and everyone who ever dealt with him knew it. Rule utilitarianism (maximizing the benefit to the greatest amount of people without passing some set barriers of harm being the preferrable option) is OBVIOUSLY the philosophy one should employ when deciding what policy and laws to pass.
However the US is a front for a money making scheme for it's billionaire noble class so it instead pushes for a cult of hyper individualism/atomization that aims to eliminate all forms of power except of amassed wealth and create a feedback loop where wealth grants the power to set the rules that in turn grants you more wealth and further reduces the power of the rest.

Crowder straight up said a scientific study was anecdotal. Suddenly, all of his garbage opinions make sense.
It's hilarious to me that Crowder was getting mad a Joe for doing the exact same shit that he does to college students during his "change my mind" videos

Just in case nobody has addressed it yet, Joe Rogan is NOT necessarily a leftist, however arguing for regulation is considered “left-wing” on the political spectrum
Unfortunately, convincing people leftism was "the government doing stuff" was one of the victories capitalists won a long time ago.
Which is ironic given that there is no left wing party of any real note in the United States. Except for a few individuals I could count on one hand the Democrats are, politically, center-right. And they are the ones that seem more into passing regulations.
@ZZ Top Excellent point. In fact I'm going to save it for future reference. Thanks.

The right wing - "Hollywood needs to shut up"...and "most movie characters......"
It's very sad when "conservative" man-children like Ben Shapiro use "comic book villains" as argument points regarding their political leanings. If he actually picked up a comic book and read about the motivations of the original Thanos, he would have known that the reason Thanos divided the population of the universe in half was so that he could impress his potential girlfriend, Death! Making it sound like Thanos was doing the general population a favor by reducing their numbers and slowing down their resource consumption was a character inconsistency that no-nothings like Shapiro thrive on when they're debating "the left." Sad and hilarious at the same time.

The notion that employers will hire extra people out of the goodness of their heart because they have extra money from tax relief is ludicrous. They will hire as many people as they need and not a single person more. That's why tax relief does not increase employment, it increases profits.

@Cheek Chaser LOL, OK "Cheek Chaser!"
I'm sure that got recorded before the tragedy of the Surfside Condo.
I used to do a construction gig for some time, and believe me those guys cut every possible corner to make money. There’s a reason why projects generally won’t pass inspection until the 5th visit. Without regulations, building damage would not only drastically increase, deaths at construction sites would fucking skyrocket.
One of the failures of capitalism sadly.

FUUUUCK man, that’s exACTly what I heard! JEEZE! 🙄
Tim Pool does this non stop. Wild that I once thought he was well thought out. Good old political indoctrination
just curious..have you actually watched any of these so-called debates? lets get into this....instead of writing your own script of what happens in your head, quote your left-wing hero, the point they made and the rebuttal...then try your best to apply the bullshit you just said. You and others think that smirking< laughing or woohooing is somehow a rebuttal
Not to mention, half of these clips which Im assuming you didnt watch because many of these werent "debates." Joe Rogan has guests on and has conversations about many things....he happens to get shitfaced and dies on the hill to defend weed....they werent debating anything. Its also ironic since joe Rogan is quoted assaying, "Biden, to me, is like having a flashlight with a dying battery and going for a long hike in the woods." Tim Pool is a leftist, so Im not sure why he even ended up on this list. Why dont you actually go to the debates and watch them before you just fanboy for your particular side.
This is literally the best thing I have seen today. Why do not more liberals take the debate to the right?
It's obvious when they actually have to back up their viewpoints with facts, ideas and actual policy.
Can we get more of this very soon
Because the right claims truth and left claims justified opinion, with reason and evidence and statiscics, when the right follows whatever they hear trump say
Because it's exhausting. I live in a right wing area and work with an older demographic. Probably 80 percent can't be swayed with facts.
On a side note you're best off not debating the 20 percent that will listen, but listening and having a conversation. The phrase I think you've been misled... is more effective than being debatorial combative in your language.
But listening to right wing talking points is exhausting and boring imo.

THANK YOU SIR!

Ana Kasparian destroying Ann Coulter was one of the most satisfying things I’ve ever seen,
By using her own principles against her too
There's a major flaw in her argument that what illegal immigrants bring to the table that makes them a more ideal candidate in a free market isn't being bilingual nearly as much as being accepting of below minimum wage pay. Companies that employ them can save a lot of time and effort on filing to enroll them as an employee, and can pay them lesser wages because none of it will be taxed and they have lower standards then those that grew up here.
The conversation at that point was specifically drilling in on the fact that people in poor inner city neighborhoods, which are by and large democrats, want to slow the rate of illegal immigration because it's hurting them. The jobs most people there get into are unskilled labor positions or apprenticeship based jobs if they're close to someone that will take the time to teach them, and illegal immigrants are very capable of also doing those jobs for less money. Not every company is willing to take the risk of employing an illegal immigrant but a sizable enough percentage are that it creates a palpable effect on employment opportunities for people that are already "disenfranchised" and lacking opportunities.
If you watch that debate at length instead of just the clipped section it went very poorly for Ana, they should have chosen a better clip there.
@@robertradford4707 the problem is that you’re basing this on the false premise that Coulter brought up about illegal immigration. Because of their proximity to a Spanish speaking region of the world it would make sense to want people to be able to speak the language.
She definitely got a little more claps but you might want to listen to the actual conversation before saying anyone got destroyed.
@@robertradford4707 The complaint that Coulter brought up is that McDonalds wants to hire Spanish speaking workers. You seem to take it as "they are hiring illegal immigrants" when in reality they want to hire bilingual workers because majority of their customer base in that area is Spanish speaking.

But, with all that has happened...can the left wing world view come into fruition?
The logic is flawed in Rubin’s argument. capitalism does not incentivize “better” work meaning more competent. It usually means more cost efficient (cheaper) with a certain level of quality. We don’t get “better” hamburgers from McDonald’s inherently because of capitalism. We get “good enough for it’s price point” hamburgers.
