Episode of roadkill with an LS powered trophy truck had a similar issue, it was the ECT sensor causing the cutout. Hope you see the comment this time around.
Good info
I’d second this, on an ls the ect sensor and maf control fueling not like a Honda they don’t have air fuel ratio oxygen sensors, just like a Honda it will misfire and run like ass if the sensor is bad
BIG SHOUTOUT to Roger! Major ups, man! I appreciate your kindness! Super cool, man!
Big shout out to Roger for helping out with the build!
The stumble running can be a few things so everytime you unhook the battery it resets the ECU so it erases everything it has learned. The ECU needs to go through a drive cycle so it can learn all the engines habits and it tunes itself from there. Or it can be the O2 sensor causing that because with no exhaust it's pulling in unmetered air so it doesn't know if it is getting to much fuel or not enough fuel and the ECU will start to compensate for it. Put a exhaust on it and start driving and see what happens from there. And try to figure out how to hook up the ob2 port so you can scan it and see what's really going on
Sound advice. 👍
Really need to the OBD2 port so he's not flying blind.
Its just a few wires to wire up an obd2 scanner. And that will be the easiest and cheaper route to go before swapping the entire harness
Agree
Yo the blazer is coming out so sick and yes I think the bourbon needs some love big girls always need love😂
That 102 tb sure looked purdy
Honestly I'm watching this..even tho LZ BoostedBois and a few others have just uploaded. Digging the different pace you always have lol
I thought for sure that the video was about to end, but it kept on rolling. Thanks for the long video.
Vacuum leak/Lean popping maybe? Check the manifold gaskets/shape to make sure you aren't letting in air.
I have the same one my 1991 Chevy blazer In black and red I love it so much but I love your blazer is so beautiful it's coming out so sick you are amazing on your build God bless ya and your family and friends please stay safe out there . me and my husband love seeing your video because my hubby is learning from you a lot from you thank you so much we love you and sons and family and friends
Yes a 40+ min vid! Amazing!!!!
“Yea that’s probably gonna bleed” *honk honk honk honk*🤣🤣🤣
If you could plug in, it would be nice. You might have to sync the throttle position sensor. the miss could be a cool or even a file injector
It's a working on a car thing...I'm a Chevy guy turned honda guy...money plays a big part in that
That clear plastic box behind that panel is a shock sensor for an aftermarket alarm system
Probably a small vacuum leak on right side of intake manifold if it keeps rpm high after touching throttle. If it is lean poping it's probably vacuum leak related. Take brake cleaner and spray around intake manifold when it's running. If idle goes up after spraying you got a vacuum leak
My man that intro dope! lets get this guy to 100k
Your suburban doesn't seem like it's not running right because! Your used to that LS swap blazer beast of an engine you have.keep up the awesome job with the videos. Been following you since khaki dude I'm jealous your rides are DOPE
GET A ECU.. a LEGIT ONE. HOLLEY, FuelTech or Haltech. You need to be able to diagnose. It expensive but will prevent you from chasing gremlins.
Smart choice on getting a harness you know works! And definitely put that custom harness on marketplace. Lol. Great video!! The blazer is so close to being right!! Keep pushing!
Someone send this man some seats for the suburban
I live in Florida and my windshield looks the same 😂. I’m doing mine this weekend.
45 min video let’s freaking goooo
Speedway looks like a good spot for a db fam meet
Run a ground from head to body and run a extra ground from the main ground for the coil pack harness
Rubbing alcohol is the move🫡💯 I be using it to wipe down also #DBFam 💪🏽
Some of the Ford's Rev Hang like you mentioned when the trans wiring circuits aren't complete, example...after a manual conversion or damaged loom.
No map sensor or a backwards map sensor would definitely cause it to break up! Ask me how I know 😉
Happy birthday Bravus! Even though it's tomorrow
Nah the Burban just needs a Turbo , it'll be fine 😎👌
Check for vacuum leaks around the intake manifold. And honestly get rid of the factory ecu and install Holley X you’ll be way happier with that system.
Love these long videos!!
*Bro I cannot wait for Suburban Content 🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽*
You had a hose just hanging out on the engine with a green cap remember? Well that is an evap hose that vents into the intake plug it up and run it and see cause it might be your vacuum leak
FUEL PRESSURE!
That blue engine is for your suburban and end of your worries
If you have a way to put a gopro in the engine bay facing the fuel pressure gauge do it. Under load when driving it might drop
Funny dB when you ask Google what time it is reactivated mine mine says it’s 2:45 PM 😳🤪😃👍🏼🤙🏽
When you going to put the exhaust on it and tune it? Can't wait to see a dyno video
Won't make anything over 200-230 wheel...
@@haydenhale2646in a vehicle never intended for more the 130hp. Live a little and have some fun
I had 2001 Tahoe and had to switch out the switch planel on it to get the seat to work
Stopped the video at about 16m so not sure if it is covered already. But try swapping around injectors. It sounds like it is getting too much fuel. If you have injectors that are sticking in one bank and you can hear it, it should replicate on the other side too.
Enjoyed the longer video
Yo Db you got to give some love to the suburban it’s your daily and your workhorse so everything you do will make it last in the long run including the seats😊❤
Love the Blazer content I have a 91 4-Door I've been thinking about ls Swapping but lack of time & place to do it
Hit up pick and pull for the burban seats
4:38. Welcome brother #dbfam
That Ghost mane!! ❤
My old silverado was doing the same thing it was my harness where it connects to the ecu the 2 big plugs i just tighten up the 8mm on each plug and that solved it
I just installed a seat cover from eBay. It was the wrong one but the company have me send in the old one and they sent me a new one that matched and looks oem.
That’s side sensor is a SHOCK SENSOR FROM AN ALARM
Its Murphy's Law bro. If it can go wrong, it will.
You have to do an idle relearn whenever you clean or replace the throttle body bro
Maybe make a plate spacer for the steering wheel instead of those washers.
Lol. That horn in the background always has the perfect timing... Why don't you buy something from him?
DBGarage! 🎉 #DBFAM
obd2 port is needed!
You need to put the throttle linkage on because your just choking the intake (no air)
Could be from the mas air flow sensor not bing put on right you had it backwards when you had it on the old throttle body.
On the burbs that's the level sensor so like if someone trying to st steel your rims the alarm system would go off
Ever try hooking up a scanner to the obd2 port and see if any codes are there? Almost seems like it goes into limp mode.. or sensor falls out. And turning off igniton resets computer.
Or get someone with hp tuners to go in and check things out
Looks like a shock sensor for in an alarm in the suburban
make sure any fuel line inside the tank is rated for that or it will fall apart and cause all kinds of problem's
Check the cam and crank sensors
If it ain’t one thing it’s another
I get it dude, seems like every time i start a 20 minute job it turns into a 5+ hour job when it comes to working on my projects😂
I believe your problem is that you need to calibrate your throttle body and throttle position sensor also
Happy birthday big dawg
Yo DB go to Harbor freight and get one of those silver monitors that has the laser pointer check your exhaust cylinders temps on that one side your valve adjustment might be off making it popping
Check ur ignition coil packs pull each plug , one at a time and see if there is any spark. That helped w mine when I had no power.
take that nut to the grinder and make that thing thinner for the steering wheel
Still put the sleeves on the wireset
It sounds like it’s the mass airflow sensor I had the same problem on my Yukon
Tbss intake is 90mm so most popular size for a throttle body is 92mm And please just get a stock throttle body from the junk yard
Sounds like it’s going into limp mode definitely need to pin out a OBD2 port make narrowing it down easier lol 😂 and happy birthday mate hope ya have a good one :)
Should take both ls swapped vehicles to see my boy in Avondale. He does ls swaps like nothing. He has a turbo 5.3L on Holley. He’ll get you sorted out legit, maybe for free to pick up some subs.
Drive it 30mph for 2to 3 minutes to set idle air control
I know it’s a step backwards again bro… but spending the $100 Braden did for his harness sounds like you will save yourself more time in the long run. Especially being able to troubleshoot. Loving the builds bro.
6:55 Why can’t you put it directly at the end of either one side or the other of that 180 degree fitting? If anything that would give you even more slack because it pushes that line a bit further back towards the front of the vehicle allowing for even more play. Might need an adapter if it’s to big/small but that shouldn’t be an issue.
20:00 If you’re gonna use the sparco wheel the horn wire ain’t gonna matter for clocking ahah
I still think has something to do with back pressure since there is no exhaust on the blazer lol
You should get a 3D printer would be dope to do small stuff like that resivor could be sick
Build the suburban to be like the freeworlds one off 8mile.
The mass airflow sensor adjusts the computers Air Fuel Ratio based on incoming air, if it is disconnected / dirty / backwards / not routed in the path of intake air it will REALLY mess things up. Most cars will not start with it disconnected and will run very poorly if it isn't exactly in the line of intake air.
Get that harness before the price goes up.
I've got 10ft of vibrant ptfe dash10 if you want it ill send it to you
I had a priblem with my ek i would replape ect on khaki and the ls
We need an update on Marcus’ car.
I have experience that miss with my 04 avalanche. It came down fuel injector being bad. Also ls are temperamental with voltage drop. My avy runs 14.1 to 14.2 volts running anything less started issues
Called rev hang normally from like a intake leak
The blazer and colorado need tuning..sinds for the car to run good u have to restart the car..means reset the acu
Thing that sucks about those gauges you cant watch fuel pressure under load
How fast does it drop from 60psi to 40s? Could be a leaky fpr. If the diaphram leaks it will suck fuel thru the vacuum line and cause issues.
Are we need to tune the Kabhi make sure need to do the mixture
👍👍from this guy
considering the previous harness owner had the alternator plug wired in reverse, you might wanna check the other ones too.
Do you know if with this model ls you need to do an idle relearn process?
I'm going to send you a obd1 code reader. In the mail in the morning
It's for Chevy and gmc
Could be a sensor in your Kabhi
Should see if maybe you have a faulty coil pack.
You get a like! You get a like!! Everyone gets a comment like
put a exhaust on this thing . you gotta be able to hear something
Those wires fit perfect how long are they??
