I've been doing the same thing, I seal off the top tight with string. No holes. Ben B said to put holes when I did that I found they were drying. Easy way to know the moisture content in your bag is to move the bag from its warm spot to a cool spot. Condersation will show up if there's enough moisture. I also found that if I wrap the cutting I have to keep at least an inch or more away from the soil. I've had moisture crawl underneath the wrap and rot the cutting. I use 4x16 bags so I really don't need the wrap to go down that far. I can alway tape the tops of the bag shut for extra humidity. Those bags are sealed until they're ready to be repotted. Is working great. Best part no gnats

Good sound advice I'd say. I use open 4x9" pots but your method probably works just as well - if not better - due to moisture control. I feel the main thing is keeping the moisture and the temps right the rest usually works out. Thanks for sharing the info with us. 👍

Have you ever had a cutting fully root and grow a few leaves and then just stop? Ive had the same two leaves on one of my cuttings for two months.
Do you think this method would work for blueberries?
I don't see why it wouldn't but unfortunately I've never rooted blueberries before.
