This game is 8 years old and looks better than most games today
8 years really doesn't mean that much in terms of graphics these days. I'll use PlayStation consoles as a frame of reference because those machines have the most straightforward numbering system. Back in the PS1, PS2, and even PS3 days 8 years meant a lot of difference in terms of graphics, and this was because video games were still a relatively new medium (compared to other art forms, such as cinema which has existed for about a century longer than video games) but starting around the PS4 era technology kind of reached a point where graphics kind of plateaued and its resulted in many high budget PS4 games looking indistinguishable from high budget PS5 games in many instances, broadly speaking.
Every art form goes through this process, where early on technological developments are visibly huge, but eventually things always reach a point where technology peaks and things just start looking the same for a while. Take movies for example: In the early days of cinema, e.g. the 1880s-1930s, the cameras being used 8 years apart would have looked very different to come another, but after several decades the technology hit a certain point so now many films made generations apart look as if they could have been made with the same technology to most audiences, even if they weren't.
TL;DR: Technology moves fast when something is new, but inevitably after a while things tend to plateau which causes the noticeable jump in technological quality to become smaller and smaller until it's not longer noticeable to most people. That's not to say that somebody won't eventually figure out some new tech that makes the jump very noticeable again, because that could happen, but the speed at which those developments are made on an industry wide scale will never be as fast as they were when the medium in question was still a brand new field.

I don't want no disrespectful comments from anyone when I say that: Me and Conroy sound about 96% the same voice tone when we put on the Batman voice, I have been thinking about asking for me to be his replacement when he passes but obviously I don't want that to happen but I have practiced Conroys voice tone for years since I chose to do prank calls for the fun on a few mates of mine and they actually thought it was Conroy calling them until I started laughing with a Heath Ledger laugh and spoke to them in his voice afterwards. I have also been speaking to Conroy on Facebook these past 2 days about the new JL season being released which is what he replied after I asked him what is new to look forward to in the future from now? he came up with the JL movie with him voicing Batman and he said to me that I won't be disappointed in it.
I think I can pull off Conroys follower voice if I was given the chance by him so, I'm gonna see what he says!!!

Wow, I didn't watch Breaking Bad until 5 years after this game came out so I had no idea Johnathon Banks was Gordon. I already really enjoyed his performance before I knew who he was but I love it even more now.
Same here! I played this game first and didn’t really pay much mind to Gordon, but after watching Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul and coming back to replay Arkham Knight, I was like “holy shit that sounds like Jonathan Banks!”

I actually had no idea that John Noble and Jonathan Banks were voice acting in this game. I think that when I heard the Scarecrow for the first time, inconsciously, I recognized his voice as familiar, which is why it felt good to hear.
And here, when I saw Jonathan Banks acting, I was like "no way, he doesn't sound like Jim Gordon, he sounds like Mike Ehrmantraut", then I saw Jim Gordon speaking with his voice and I was like "damn, awesome".

I replayed this game to 100% completion 3 times and this is the first time I discover that Jonathan Banks is the voice behind Gordon

Scarecrow's voice is so different from Asylum though, the tone and speed of the way he talks. He's so calm now compared to asylum. Its like a whole different character and personality.
Its still good, and it still works. but i feel its too big of a change if you see the how he acts in both games right after one another.
I at least hope he calls back to the events of Asylum... It would be cool if had had Croc captured and then Batman have to save him. and then we get a whole "Remember what you did to me!?" dialogue.

The voice-change is probably just because Rocksteady wanted him to sound bigger, bad'er and darker. (and the original actor wasn't available or maybe he couldn't do that kind of voice)

Oh the original guy was definitely available. But as you can see, they made a lot of changes to this game's characters that greatly differently itself from the previous 2 games

I remember all the hate this game got upon release, and now we all flock back to it, calling it the greatest Batman game of all time.
That's the problem with online fan bases, if this game had gotten the love it deserved8 years ago we might have had more Batman games with Kevin before his passing. And the idea of him turning evil and dying like a rabid dog would've been considered a bad joke.

Back when studios mainly focus on creating a fun and epic game. Now studios care more about agenda and not getting called out by people who wont even play their games. They lost their edge I hope they go back to focusing on great story and the players who play their games. People are still playing the arkham series even to this day.
Even as a 6 year old game. It still feels like a next gen game. Although you can only play in 4K and 60FPS on PC, everything is amazing. And even games such as Spider Man Miles Morales and Forza Horizon 5 find it hard to beat Rocksteady’s uniqueness.

Don't get me wrong, I'm excited to drive the Batmobile, but I hope they don't make it a necessity. I don't want to HAVE to use the Batmobile to complete missions. I hope it's an option where you can just complete them as Batman by himself, or with the Batmobile. They just keep hyping up the Batmobile so much that it's starting to worry me.

Japheth19 The way I see it, Batmobile is just a gadget. It's optional to use it in free roam, but in some occasions you just HAVE to use it. Kind of like Explosive Gel or the Batclaw - sometimes you can't get through a wall without using Explosive Gel, just like you can't get through a vent without ripping it down with the Batclaw. The same could go for the Batmobile - you can use it to get somewhere, but once you're there you'll be free to leave the Batmobile.
