Regarding CZcams loudness, to see what they are doing to your audio, right click on your video and select "Stats for nerds" and look at Volume / Normalized. Turn your YT volume up to max and the first number will be 100% and the second will reflect what they've done to it (turning up or down). To the right of that is the loudness they calculated. You want that to be a small negative number, meaning you didn't exceed their limit, but you aren't too quiet, either. A large negative number means you're no loud enough.
VERY interesting! So if my livestream says "content loudness -2.8db" then that is pretty good? I also realized that premiere has a built in YT loudness meter for LUFS under "special" in the audio effects.
â@@RylandRussell Yep, -2.8dB is decent. I would bump the over-all gain 1.5dB and see where you land. Part of the calculus is how much you dislike TY's compression. If you don't mind a little, you can ride closer to the line. If you hate it, you'll want to leave more headroom.
what type audio mixer do you use Ryland in your office studio for these videos? Looks like a Zoom Livetrak L-8... If so, how would the likes of the LiveTrak compare to a RODECaster Pro II for the same setup?
Ya I use the zoom l-8 as it can do isolated recordings, 4 independent headphone mixes, and simple sound pads. Rodecaster Pro is a standard, not sure about the LiveTrak.
@RylandRussell Livetrak is the same as Zoom L8 with L standing for Livetrak ... So I was just checking how in your opinion the L8 would compare with the RCP II? From what you have said the Rode can do everything that you have mentioned also from recording each tracks isolated to sound pads. Am I right?
43:47 Do the camera monitors have a piece of electrical tape across the top to match the black bar? I'm guessing they don't so that's why the head room is off.
Hey Ryland, are you running your audio from your board into Atem or ? If yes I would love to see your config run⊠Iâm asking this because I realized that these devises suck on audio (ATEM minis, pros and ISO)
19:50 Switching cameras on the beat is something many directors need to work on.

9:03 Imagine if they had a multi-camera setup to go with the awesome audio.

34:04 All I hear is cymbals.
TBH the first review, I can only hear drums, bass, and keys/synths, no guitars????
