@@PinkPossibly first, make sure your hook is aligned with the middle of the legs (if you need to do another sc or four that’s fine) then you start round 10: 6sc, dec, 2sc, dec, 2sc, dec, 2sc, dec, 2sc, dec, 2sc, dec, 2sc. Or something like that I think. When they say (2sc, dec) x 6 it means you do 2sc, dec 6 times, it’s like the short hand way of writing patterns. Hope this helps.
Great tutorial so far! I started crocheting about a week ago. This uses just magic ring, single crochet, increase, decrease, and slip to close off. Attaching the legs was intimidating at first, but she did a great job explaining and visually pointing out which stitch to go into. Excited to move on to part two!
I love this pattern. I have made several, some with 3 thinner yarns. As the mom of a dinosaur source of all information and a retired science teacher myself, I feel the need to correct a small thing. There is no Brontosaurus. It is an apatosaur. The apatosaur was discovered and named first and the brontosaur very shortly after. Now my son can leave me alone LOL.

@@pmxxj I figured it out! as you are corcheting the leg, you were probably doing it inside out. When you start the 3rd round, just make sure you push the foot out in the correct direction. The sole of the foot should be pointing towards you rather than away from you and the yarn tail is inside the foot rather than outside. :)

This used to happen to me too you should try using a stich marker or a Bobby pin at the first stich of the magic circle, and you should count your stiches. Hope this helps.
I am also definitely off by the count as well(in the opposite direction)but try paying special attention to where the leg and body connects, bc when going around it can look like you are "skipping" stitches but you're not. I hope that gives you an idea of how you count might be so high. Remember that the count doesn't have to match as long as you like it!

So if you are talking about round 9 the way to read that would be to do 7sc then 2dec then to do what is written in the parentheses (sc,dec) the amount of times indicated aka 3 times. so if written without using parentheses you would do as follows : 7sc, 2dec, sc, dec, sc, dec, sc, dec, 2sc, dec, 2sc, dec, 3sc, dec, 5sc. this would give you a total of 30 final stitches which is what the last parentheses not followed by a number means. Hope this helps!

I had the same problem until I realised that she was turning the legs from inside to outside while crocheting. It worked for me to just turn the legs afterwards so the end of the yarn is on the inside, maybe this will help you too :)
If any one is confused at row 9. You have to single crochet 7 then do 3 decrease again single crochet 7 and 3 decrease after that single crochet 3 decrease once and single crochet 5.

How is Row 3 coming up to a count of (40) when I'm getting (16), even when you count the stitches written on the screen it comes out to 16. This part is messing me up really bad, can anyone explain what she means? I was always told the the number in ( ) at the end is the ending stitch count. How is it possible that row 3 equals 40??
Because it's counting the outside of the legs. Because you start with 16 stitches right? Them you take away 2 stitches per leg Because you attached each leg with two stitches and your not going through those stitches anymore. So that's 8 stitches your taking away since there 4 legs. So now you have 8 stitches. Because 16-8= 8. Each leg has 10 stitches around. Take away the 2 stitches I mention earlier. So went attached to the body each leg has now 8 stitches. In Row 3 your counting the legs as the round. So you have 8 stitches per leg. There is 4 legs so 8x4=32. And then you add 8 that I mention before. And that equales 40 stitches. Hope that made since❤

I feel stupid because I just can't comprehend how to connect the legs to the body. I get the first sc done but I don't understand which one is the upper stitch because what I think is the one has the string where it is loose and I don't want my legs to unravel. I just don't get it. This pattern may be too difficult for someone crochet a plushie with separate parts for the first time ever! If you’ve watched it many times but are still lost, I’d recommend trying a simpler pattern first!
I had this problem too and I just added a row where I decreased two this way I ended up with 46 and in the end result you can not even tell the difference

QUESTION!! On R7, I keep ending up with 42 instead of 44 stitches. Am I doing it wrong or is the pattern wrong on this step?
If you have 46 at the end of round 6, then round 7 will have 44. 21scx2 =42 dec x 2 =44. I had redo my rounds to figure this out, good luck.

I feel stupid because I just can't comprehend how to connect the legs to the body. I get the first sc done but I don't understand which one is the upper stitch because what I think is the one has the string where it is loose and I don't want my legs to unravel. I just don't get it. Any help is appreciated
I didn’t understand ether so I just connected like the top stitch and then when she asked for the bottom I just connected with a random stitch in the bottom
Okay, I have probably watched the part where the legs and body are combined 20-30 times and I am still very lost (this is my first time crocheting a plushie with separate parts, as you can tell). Can someone please help? 😵💫
This pattern may be too difficult for someone crochet a plushie with separate parts for the first time ever! If you’ve watched it many times but are still lost, I’d recommend trying a simpler pattern first!

I had this problem too and I just added a row where I decreased two this way I ended up with 46 and in the end result you can not even tell the difference
