For those struggling to figure out how to make it look strait just adjust row 26 but keep the rest of the rows the same. Row 26: 5 sc, (sc, inc) x5, 10 sc (30)
just made three of these for some friends and i love them! I especially love the minimal sewing needed lol- just a tip for anyone starting it, make the legs and tail first, as well as cut a strand (like 4-5 inches) to sew the body closed later. If you only have one skein of the color you're using, this makes it so you don't need to tie off your body before it's done to make and attach the tail.
Yes definitely!! Or if you forget, just pull from the middle of the yarn or you can even sew the tail on and back shut once you’ve finished the entire rest of the dinosaur!
Finally! An adorable dinosaur. I roll my yarn into cakes so I can pull from the outside or inside of the cake without having to cut the yarn. Makes for easy transitions. Only critique, maybe speak a little slower. Sometimes I have to rewind several times to understand what you are saying.
I have just made one for myself and now going to be making a personalised one for each of my family for their birthdays. Thank you for making the tutorial so clear to follow and making this video for everyone to follow
This is such a brilliant tutorial, you made it very easy to understand and not over complicate things, as I’ve struggled with amigurumi in the past. Thank you for this amazing tutorial.
I've been following you on tik tok ever since your first video and the fact that it's you making this tutorial makes it all the better- you truly made one of the most easiest to follow crochet vids in the world- thank you so much for the joy you're spreading for free
This was the first pattern I worked from literally the ground up. I used acrylic yarn and a size 3.5 hook so way smaller but think it is actually the best I have made so far. So glad you includes the pattern written along with the video.
I just did a whale. That's the only thing I've ever made but it's so cute! Your comment gives me confidence to try 🦕 10 days til Vday. I want to give it to my teenage daughter in purple 🥰
Thanks for the tutorial, especially for the text, it was easy to follow instructions without need to constantly scroll back and listen to what exactly you're doing and how many times. Keep going!
Great tutorial and I really appreciate you for leaving the pattern in your description!! It was super easy to follow and now I have the cutest little dino! Thanks so much
I can’t find my original post where I stated that my dinosaur head was looking to the right. I took it apart and made sure that the seven increases were in the middle of his face. He turned out adorable. Thank you so much Zach for sharing your pattern.❤❤❤❤❤
I loved this tutorial, im a beginner and this dinosaur was the second amigurumi plush I have ever made. It was easy to follow, although I messed up quite a few times due to forgetting how many stitches id done and it took me 2 days but it still turned out almost identical to yours. Despite the slight imperfections in mine, I absolutely love it. I cant wait to try out more of your tutorials :D
@@rayanbalfour7791 I used the Cygnet Jelly Baby Chunky in the colour Mint, 100g and 120 meters. I also used a size 6mm hook I think, though 0.5mm either side of that should be fine. One skein was enough for me, you possibly could have had a go at making a second with the leftover, but I havent tried so I cant guarentee it. I would suggest using Bernat Blanket yarn instead though as it has a nicer feel and has a 'fuller' yarn if that makes any sense?.. I hope this was somewhat helpful, have fun and good luck with your crocheting :)
I crochet a lot of items for babies and young children, this method of one piece, plus the tail, is much more practical and even safer for young children! Your videos are so pleasant to follow!
I just made this as a birthday gift for my partner and it came out so cute! The tutorial was pretty easy to follow along, especially since it wasn't a beginner pattern. Just in case anyone else was wondering about this, I did it with much smaller yarn and hook; 4 weight yarn and a 5.5 mm hook, and it came out to about 8 inches tall!
Thank you I'm going to try making one, I've been looking at all kinds of dinosaur tutorials this morning, I like yours the best, all the others you have to sew everything on, I love how you do the legs, I want to make one for my grandson, he just turned 2 and loves dinosaurs now, you just gained a follower BTW, just subscribed, happy crocheting
I finally got around to making mine tonight and it turned out super cute! And I have to say, you did a great job with this tutorial. Very clear and easy to follow, it was the first one I've ever watched that I didn't get lost or frustrated even once. Thank you so much!
this was such a great tutorial!! you explained everything super well, it was easy to understand and follow. my dino looks adorable and i love him, great pattern! :D
i love your tutorial. mine became a bit smaller since i used different yarn and a smaller needle but it makes him just as cute. also the head mine turned a bit bulky on one side more than the other, so i made him face that direction, so cute how he looks to the side
Omg l love this tutorials please keep making tutorials like this because you’re so easy and fun and they’re so cute literally only took me a day to make
i’ve just started crocheting i have very little experience but I tried out this tutorial, after some struggle, all I need is to finish the second half of the head 😆 thank you for this tutorial i love this pattern !
I haven't finished this but so far it looks sooo cuteeee!!! A month ago I was obsessed with how cute these looked and I could only find images on Google not a tutorial and my own patterns are not very great lol but I love this your instructions are great and i understand them very well!!!
I was looking for a nice free pattern for such a long time and finding this was probably the most exciting thing that happened to me today!!! I did two of them in different colours and I'm not thinking of stopping. Literally in love!
such a good tutorial!! i only work with more "regular" sized yarn, weight 4 usually, and was worried the dimensions wouldnt work out but it was perfect! i love my lil dino!! this was only my second time doing an amigurumi pattern, i make blankets and bags and such, and this one was SO much better than that first pattern - especially with telling me when and showing where to put in the eyes!

I made one, it wasn't perfect since it was my first time crocheting an amigurumi. Will try again later! I gave it to my little brother and he loved it. He's currently sleeping with it 🥹 Thank you for this tutorial, I really loved it 🙏
