I feel like whenever Fifth Harmony sings cover or a different version of their song, they're doing amazing. But everytime they sing their original version song, it's much weaker. I believe, that choreographies were too demanding and that affected their voices strongly. All of them are pretty amazing here.. but yeah...Lauren's voice is awesome! :D
I blame their management 💁🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️ If you check out their earlier performances it was all very raw with live harmonies and then when the management opted for more choreo they basically forced the girls to sing with a backing track for most of the songs... Also their managers treated them horribly Lauren spoke about it a lil bit cause there was actually a point where everyone was exhausted and you could hear it but they had to push through cause of label commitments and everything... They didn't much say in scheduling and stuff from what I understand either🙈 I think that played a role too... I think they all slay tho💁🏻♂️ Wish the label would've let them do more harmonies on their actual albums
MrMusicality yeah the management switched once worth it blew up that happens a lot in girl groups once the group get a big hit and there’s back to back hits, they start treating like a product even if they did from the start, it’s more subtle like they got their best interests in heart when it isn’t
they werent kpop trainees. they were 5 normal girls with 0 experience in the entertainment industry. they were never supposed to do oversexualised choreos in the first place. epic is trash.
Dinah (a voice with so much depth and riffs and runs that are just agile and amazing) and Ally (a large range where she can reach C6 in mixed voice and definitely the belter of the group) are the powerhouse duo in the group with Camila's unique voice, Normani's smooth voice (she can even whistle) and Lauren's husky and raspy voice that made them a very very very talented group :)
It's absolutely insane reading the comments section and watching this video now at nineteen. When I was even younger, a minor, I loved 5H. But everybody would always say they're bad, they can't sing, they're talentless and all they know is to act sexy. Looking back, I know a lot of the hate was motivated by racism and sexism as well as their fame (people love to hate on viral pop stars). But I just... I just wish they'd been given a chance while they were still active as a group? It's insane seeing all this praise now that they're no longer a group. I can see now that they were always objectively super talented girls. But now they've split up, LOL.
i wish 5H didnt fall in the hands of such a crappy label because they had so much potential(if done correctly) Dinah(dye-nuh) is the blonde one who started off the performance with the great riffs. *TO ME* she's the best voice out of the group and the most well rounded(vocals, stage presence, look, etc) Normani(Nor-mah-knee) has the widest range in the group, but sadly we never really got to hear much of it during the group besides the top and bottom of her range. her stage presence reigns SUPREME amongst the rest, and her her angelic tone always rounded out the harmonies so well. Camila has always had great energy on stage as well. Lauren's husky voice sadly never really fit well in any of 5H's pop heavy songs, so she would get overshadowed a lot, but her solo career has really shown off how great her voice really is. Ally(the shortest one) has an amazing tone that's like velvet, and her range is insane. during the group she mainly was used for her upper belts, but she has some great mid belts that truly make her tone shine. she improved the most from their debut-end(especially with the dancing issues) i suggest you do a "best vocals" of each member to really get a sense of their capabilities. especially since they've all improved immensely since 2017-18.
Their record label was the same in wich Meghan Trainor, Zara Larsson, or Madison Beer are, so that's probably why you don't hear of that girls anymore, bad management
I think it's sad that they were forced to dance those complicated routines for their own songs when they're at their best vocally when they do these kinds of stripped back performances... Their covers and unplugged performances are their best while (except for a few) their performances on their own songs tend not to be as good (not saying they're bad though - just not as good)
Who Are You is an incredible song! The song was performed at the beggining of Fifth Harmony, but it's incredible! The vocals are outstanding and ridiculously good!

They were great singers i dont really know why people would compare them to little mix and call them weak vocalists. They usually danced while performing their own songs which would automatically make it very challenging to perform and then little mix always performed stripped back versions or normal version with minimal choreography so of course they'd sound great. People should stop with the 5H slander because what we are not going to do is undermine their talent.

BEYOND, my favorite girl band, I love them so much, they have a lot of amazing performances, if you search for medley reflection tour there's a lot of clips, in this tour they made a medley and everyone sings a cover of a song they like
They were all such classy, kick ass singers but rather than using her talents to the full they were forced to oversell radio friendly music. Their solo careers saw them truly breaking free
I really love your girl group videos! Can I please recommend Mamamoo for the next Girl Band Thursday? They're a k-pop group that are known for having great vocals, so I really think you'd enjoy watching them. I'd highly recommend their cover of Tom Jones' Delilah 🙂

It's difficult to harmonize with your backup dancers who has no talent so I don't blame her. Look at her now, she's doing a whole lotta better without having to adjust with untalented dancers 😂

I do like the girl band series but I would like to see a bit of variety with Fifth Harmony reactions. While their award show performances have been vocally amazing, I guess I'd rather see a reaction to them performing their own songs and doing their choreography as opposed to them singing covers. They were known for being extremely messy live performers (with Ally's dancing, Laurens attitude, Dinah's out of breath issues, Normani's vocal struggles and Camila being over the top and irritating) so I think I'd like to see Georgina react to something maybe like...Work From Home at the BBMA's, That's My Girl at the AMA's, Sledgehammer at Pitbulls New Year Show, He Like That on James Corden....I dunno, something where it's specifically Fifth Harmony and their own songs. I just know that she'll be moving on to another girl group soon (cough GRL cough, they actually had a few very emotional performances after one of their members sadly passed away which are heartbreaking to watch) and I'd like to see her react to as many different types of performances as possible.
U should also listen to them when they are dancing, cause yea they sound good if they are standing still but when dancing not always so much. I’ve always liked their songs and watched them but live they aren’t that great especially when they are dancing. Maybe people have different opinions that’s okay, but this is mine.
Probably a controversial opinion but I think Camila is the worst singer in fifth harmony. I think the other girls potential was limited in fifth harmony and now that they’re solo their real potential has started to come out. Camila isn’t a bad singer but shes not as good as the other 4 girls!
i've always said the same thing. she just shined more because she was pushed the front most of the time. now that they're all solo, they all have the freedom to find their pocket and experiment with their voices.

From the point of view of someone who watched all their interviews and follow them on social medias, they actually are friends, especially Dinah and Lauren. Except Camila, they often write something under each other's posts on Instagram

Their dance steps where simple they just weren’t rehearsing a lot of the times and they couldn’t choreo a lot

Eh her tone is annoying but I think she’s more flexible and has better control over her voice than Normani, I think Mani’s the weakest vocally
