I'm from that county. Back in the day Railroad Ave used to be called N Word Street because that was an African-American gathering spot on Friday nights.
When in Summerton I wished you talk to more of the locals....you would've learn that Summerton was the spot in South Carolina that was a part of Landmark Civil Rights case Brown v Education (Briggs v Elliot)
