  • Lama Lena gives instructions on the visualization and mantra of 1000-Armed Chenrezig (aka Avalokiteshvara), a vivid and personal meditation practice we can take into our daily lives to cultivate Bodhichitta, “nying gi”, or “open-hearted great-heartedness”, often translated as "Compassion".

    my kagyu refuge teacher was caught up in the big wave of sexual misconduct and I've had such a longing for dharma as a now home practitioner more or less and your videos have really filled the hole that was left in my heart and practice; I just wanted to say thank you!

Now I am still doing Ngondro, so I will have to choose a teacher as my root teacher before I iniatiate practicing Dzogchen. Anybody can help me with some info?

    To be candid, I like your teachings, but I am disappointed that you, like a number of other Buddhist teachers, have become partisan and can’t resist interjecting your political preferences along with the Dharma lesson. I doubt it would occur to you, but there are many Dharma students like me, who then don’t come back for more teachings from virtue-signalers, like you.

      Refusing to receive teachings merely because of a disagreement over politics seems rather silly though when compared to the vast Dharma wouldn't you say?

    • @13c11a
      @13c11a Před rokem

      @@HokusaisGhost No, not at all. There are many virtuous teachers to follow who don't do these kinds of things. They are a warning sign. The Dalai Lama warned against following people who are off the mark.

      You are free to follow who ýou wish. However trying to teach a teacher on how to fit within your views sounds kind of funny, same as the words "I doubt it would occur to you" - especially when she taught numerous times on exactly same topic (personality of the teacher).
      There are preliminaries for this type of teachings. Working with thoughts, working with emotions.
      If students are annoyed by teacher expressing their opinion on anything, to the extent that they choose not to follow them, it's in fact good safeguard for both, in vajrayana especially.
