Leon's "LOOK AT ME NOW!" will go down in history as one of the best post fight interviews of all time. So much raw emotion
I think it is the best. There are alot of good ones but nothing that really compares to Leon
It was not that good, I remember me and my buddies laughing at em
@@thesaiyanprincevegeta yea all to leon but when i first saw it i was laughing too idk why as well
It definitely is alongside with khabib's retirement announcement.
Omg yup just thinking about that moment and watching this film right here has me in tears. I always loved the dude like he was just I could send something special about him and I knew a little bit of the backstory, but this really puts it into perspective. What a what a deserving champ.
This man needs an Oscar for all the effort he put into these videos
He's good
Haha Übertreib lol
100%, and what I love about this video is that you see a great deal of insight and warmth from the YTuber, and none of it’s conveyed in contrived way. There’s no narrating or blabbering on from someone that loves the sound of their own voice, and Patrick G portrays a sense of “this is who Leon Edward’s is: beyond the Leon the sports start and beyond the framing by UFC”, and the focous is brought back to the ridiculous challenges him and his team has faced and showing Leon from the perspective of a brother, trainer, countryman of 2 different countries and most importantly… as his mother’s son. Just brilliant work in every way.
For real man guys unbelievable
This was incredibly emotional. You captured his life perfectly…
Can't help but get a bit emotional everytime I see that clip of Leon speaking to his mum after winning the belt. Massive respect.
How's that parasocial relationship going?
Are you and Leon going ice skating this weekend or next weekend?
@@sooperd00p you're trying to sound smart but you don't even understand the words you're using. Sad, really.
@@RammusTF maybe he replied to someone else? Otherwise he’s having a fight within he self lol
sooperd00p
Get a hug brotha
Seriously. I’ve always wanted to change my mom’s life, but this story has amplified it to the max and I couldn’t be happier for Leon. Deserves it more than anyone else in the UFC
UFC or ESPN needs to hire my guy. The amount of time, effort and detail he puts into these kind of docs is incredible. He isn't filming anything, but his storytelling abilities rival anything I see on TV in sports period. Its unfair to say just MMA for him. He is big time. Patrick skillset goes far beyond MMA. He could do a film on border issues or homelessness and it could win awards. Such a special talent. You will go far in life with this ability my brotha.
Made my day bro
I will see you on the oscar red carpet one day my guy @@PatrickGavia
Che respect to both of yo. From New Zealand.
💯
Cant wait until you guys get to tear it up on a something like a 30 for 30, it’s going to be epic!
This is why Leon Edwards has the most aesthetic physique
Why?
Better than Aljo or Chandler?
DC has the most aesthetic physique
Colby bootlickington 0 wins against current ranked welterweights. Ran from all of the top contenders.... shavkat, Gilbert, Belal the racist, khamzat (when he was there) and he couldn't even finish a washed up masvidal. Calls 911 like a woman does. And as boring as Belal, guess what? He has more finishes than colby bootlickington, AND amazingly has a few ranked wins lmfao 🤣
Colby is the most overrated fighter in the welterweight class and this is why
@@mikoake chandler has a bubble gut from HGH, aljo is too tiny
You’re actually the most well rounded documentary maker on CZcams.
Makes me wanna cry almost everytime hahah
well rounded? bro is flawless
From Lovell's "What's wrong with you, son??" to Anik's "But that is not the cloth from which he is cut" to Leon's own "Look at me now! Pound-for-pound, headshot DEAD!" the end of this match had some of the greatest and most emotionally impactful lines in UFC history. ✊🏽
My man usman was 51 seconds away from being an all time great, then goes on a 3 fight losing streak. Did a lap around the entire division. Give usman credit for giving Leon a rematch and not trying to take a big money fight.
You make it sound like taking an immediately rematch against a guy he was beating in the last fight to take back his title was some kind of difficult decision for Kamaru.
He is an all time great
@@ErinJeanetteUsman? Boring? Broooooooooooooo.
Usman is already an all time great
@@ErinJeanettethe majority of usman’s fights are boring though, you can say the same for leon but either way
I was never the biggest Leon Edwards fan because I always thought his fights were boring. But seeing his story brought a tear to my eye
Same as some of Anderson silvas and gsps fights. There so technical more advanced that the fights can look boring. Top guys ain't gettin finished unless make huge mistake or take a clean shot and its very rare.
You gotta get out of that mindset for all around fighting bro. Don't be out here calling fights boring when the people inside those cages are fighting for legacy and the belt itself. Yes, some fights are not gonna be action packed like Gaethje v Chandler or Pantoja v Moreno etc. You gotta give these guys their credit, even just fighting in the UFC and getting some wins, is still an incredible achievement. The balls, the guts and determination it takes is too much for the regular people.. Btw this isn't a hate comment, just saying that: Don't underappreciate UFC prospects or any fighter in general
This fight alone can make you feel strong in times of feeling down. It’s full of inspiration. Coach words, Leon’s clean headshot, his octagon interview right after, tears and love to his mom. Even his apology to Joe Rogan makes it beautiful. Them “don’t let ‘em bully you, son!” and “look at me now!” are fucking epic. It will always be legendary.
So glad he schooled that cheap ass colby.
This is why Leon Edwards will always be my favorite fighter! He fights for more than just himself. hes shows that you your curses in life can truly be your biggest blessings.
This is the kind of content that helps men get through tough times, inspirational
Another gem from our guy Patrick, been along time since a documentary maker caught the attention of so many🔥🔥🔥
Well deserved rapid rise
Wow. I legit cried at work watching this. One of the most dangerous unarmed combatants in the world telling his Mother through tears that he achieved his dreams!
Fair play, Leon.
PS:
You too Patrick, great video!
Haha me too no shame the Usman brought me to tears too
Totally gets me emotional every time I hear Jon Anik’s quote and the headkick is unleashed. Perfect finish, what a story thanks Patrick. Another masterclass
Every patrick Gavia fight film is like an event for me
Leon is a real life hero. This is the way to show people that there is always a way.
Leon's life is one of the most incredible and amazing stories ever.
Man, what a beautiful documentary. That coach has earned a place among the legends of the ring, the all-time cage. Lyon Edwards' words at the end now make more sense than ever. What a fantastic moment for martial arts this was. Thank you!
That ending made me cry.
This right here is why patrick gavia has the most aesthetic documentaries on youtube
😂😂😂
Patrick is the A Tier for youtuber documentaties. Just brilliant editing and storytelling
How Leon does not get the respect he does, is disgraceful, a true life story that is remarkable, much like another english raised champion, Michael Bisping, people need to start putting respect on this new breed of English fighters. I have a feeling Tom Aspinall is going to be the next in line, unbelivable, America had it wrong, it ain't tea and crumpets over there in the real world. Patrick, you captured this mans story perfectly, your content is pure quality.
Americans and people in general know England has shit holes just like everywhere else, no one thinks it's just tea and crumpets, it's knifing and bad teeth jokes.
Most of britain is bitchmade.
I cried my eyes out at the end! what a great movie and what a performance by Leon ! my man !
Leaving your job to do this was the right decision. You have a gift for this, Patrick. I'm looking forward to the next video, and please, keep up the stellar work. ✌
This shit had me tearing up man. You're the goat for these Fight Films.
When his coach Dave spoke to him before the final round began, even though he was talking to Leon his words spoke volumes to anyone who’s selling themselves short. Im only young still but a lot of us as we get older find ourselves wondering “what would have happened if I just committed, or gave it my all?”
Dave was speaking to a lot of us watching. Millions of people saw that an all a lot more will still see it as time moves forward.
The fact that he has 300k subs is unbelievable. If someone doesn't know about the UFC this is what you should show him. You start off barely knowing the fighter to fully being an invested fan. It starts off showing the fighters take losses in the octagon and in life and then gives an ending (with slo-mo and music) that's more emotional than some movies. The fighters turn into heroes and their mediocre lives turn into an emotional rollercoaster. These are the documentaries I want to watch!
one of the best mma channels rn for good reason
We've all heard this story so many times, but watching this made it literally feel like the first time. Well done man, you're work is 🔥
Finally man!!! Danggggg
Im ready
"LOOK AT ME NOWWW"
Met him multiple times he's such a nice and humble guy this couldn't of happened to a better person. Our champ Leon 🤴🏾
That post interview gave me the chills couldn't be more perfect tbh
Is this doc a masterpiece? A handa pacent.
Dammit Gavia. You made me cry again.
It’s what I do
@@PatrickGavia This one and the Ngannou one broke me. Well done, sir. I look forward to the next one.
YES PATRICK GAVIA, THE FILMAKING GOAT HAS MADE A LEON DOCUMENTARY! MY LIFE IS MADE
Leon is one of the most technical and talented strikers in the UFC. He kicks and punches to land it. Truly a good person and an amazing fighter🙏 Also, Patrick you are the God of Editing
Man that LOOK AT ME NOW interview hits different after watching this. Great work.
every time this guy posts, expect the most fire content, the quality is just unreal man. 🔥
Beatifully cut...kudos 🤌🏿
Amazing Man...with an incredible life-journey. Congratulations Champion! Much love Leon Edwards.
What an amazing documentary. Tears in my eyes. Well done
certified banger
If your weren’t a Leon edwards fan you are now. As a West Indian like him, life is a hole and your just falling. It’s so incredibly difficult to make something of yourself. Leon is a true inspiration.
Leon gave the best post fight speech ever in recorded time. Knowing now of his past and his struggles, the electrifying moment he connected and we realized Usman was out cold meant everything and time froze. He just said whatever came to mind and gave not only one of the best knockouts ever given the context but the preeminent speech of all time. Amazing.
I don’t think I’ve ever yelled louder for a fight than when Leon knocked out usman!!
Incredibly well done. Thank you for this. 🙏
Man, if you're watching this and you're not near tears at the end then you probably don't have a heart.
For real tho
Man, you do such a good job at spotlighting these athletes. Leon’s story is truly amazing and it brings tears to my eyes when he’s telling his mom that he did it. I told you I would do it mom. Love this so much!!
The quality of your videos are unbelievable. Best fight game reporting of all time
Absolute legend
This is serious quality man respect
This is my favorite one yet! I got chills man... How can you not root for Rocky...the man is the definition on a fighter with every ounce of the word. LOOK AT HIM NOW!!! thank you for this piece of art Pat. Incredible story telling
Damn it, Patrick. I’m not crying, you’re crying. You are the GOAT
Thanks for this one!
I can only imagine how Leon and his team must have been feeling in that second fight with Usman, when the altitude was affecting Leon’s performance so bad. He lost round after round and must have thought his chance was over. The rallying cry from his coach and mentor to try and somehow get Leon back from the brink was gut wrenching. It was all but lost as Leon just couldn’t get his body to work properly. But then a miracle happened. A pre thought-out head kick tactic, drilled over countless weeks of training, came to the rescue just when Usman was tiring and thought he had it in the bag. It was an unbelievable moment. We were all stunned. I almost couldn’t believe my own eyes. How Leon and his team must have felt will live forever in my memory and his immortal words “headshot dead”and “look at me now”. And the brilliant thing is he’s now defended the belt twice. It couldn’t happen to a more deserving guy given the terrible luck he had for the last few years. Great documentary. Thank you for creating it. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Honestly, it just goes to show you should never give up trying your best at things. You never know what can happen 🤔
Wasn’t that their first fight? I thought he knocked out Usman the first fight and second fight he won by decision
@@NASkeywest no he fought Usman a few years ago for the first time. Leon lost. The knockout by leg kick was their second match.
@@Proxima2 ok, so they have fought 3 times all together right? That first fight was long enough ago that I don’t remember anything from it
@@NASkeywest their first fight was in 2015! A long time ago. So now they have fought each other 3 times in total in the UFC.
@@Proxima2 yea I remember it was right when the Reebok deal went though as well when they fought.
I think a jose aldo documentary will be awasome
the guy had crazy career and life and after seeing your work i think it will be awasome
Watched it once, cried. Watched it again with my son and his friend and cried again. Thank you for this video. I will subscribe now.
omg I can't wait. I was literally praying that you will make a video about Leon, cause you are by far the best
Just brilliant. Editing and story telling perfection. Birmingham is so proud of you Leon! 😢
Patrick doing a better job highlighting Leons story than the UFC. 😆
Patrick deserves to be running big movie studios! This dude is the goat!
I was hoping you would do this. 🙏🏾 can’t wait.
the fact that Ariel watched this video and mentioned it on his podcast ✨
Great Work bro 🙏🏽
Thank you, Patrick, for this amazing Christmas present
Man. The last 3 minutes. And throughout, the way you captured his side of the story that most people didn’t know.
This one and Francis were my favorite. Amazing stories, battles with life.
A masterpiece 🔥
Better than everything on any streaming service.
Another masterpeice by patrick.......
Leon's mom was the real hero here.
Cant even lie.. The end made me tear up a bit.
Leon deserves all the success.
This is absolutely incredible. Thank you so much ❤
If anyone can verify through extensive research that Leon’s father is in fact in heaven as we all hope…it’s Patrick.
Bryce Mitchell's soul just came back from heaven. He said they told him the Earth isn't flat
Leon's dad is wherever his family believes he is👍
Nicely done, Mr. Gavia! Another very evocative documentary. I'm already looking forward to your next upload.
