I didn't have contact with those "premium" series back in 2012 when I started collecting, but when I first entered a toy store looking for Hot Wheels without knowing a thing about what was going on in the Hot Wheels world, a salesman showed me the stand, and gave me the white Fiesta, and said something like: "Grab this, it's a overlooked model!", and I love it. A GT-40 I like is the blue LM from 2011, which i got over the orange from the same year, and the Skyline, I started with the ones from 2013, there was the blue from 2014 with similar tampos, but I would grab it for the model, not because of the FnF movies, like many collector, does, mainly resellers, to get that extra juice.

I’m not new to Hot Wheels , but I am new to collecting them as a adult, and I must say there are some nice toys till this very day, so I’m very happy to get back to collecting them 😊

I remember seeing like 10 of those Koenigsegg Agera R in the store and figured they'd be Peg warmers and never bought one then turn around and bought one off eBay for $25 a few years ago.
Didnt sell BUT I LOST THE FIRST EDITION BLUE DATSUN 510. I SWEAR TO GOD SOME KID STOLE IT FROM MY HOUSE...... :c
No regrets selling, regrets buying. I just started collecting a few months ago... I spend about $800 piecing together ALL of the Faster than Ever cars....sold it all for $175.

There are 2 customs I to regret sending out to somebody for trade. They're both Bre Datsun 510 one is a wagon and one a coupe. I got 2 super treasure hunts and 2 kday mail in 510 bluebirds but I put a lot of time on those 2 customs. They looked legit!! Wish I had them on my display lol.

I traded my green Murcielago with a broken wheel to get a 911 GT2
I only sold, traded, or gave away cars that I had duplicates of. However, while I was moving, I got some boxes mixed up and some of the best cars that were in my collection at the time ended up going to the dump. I didn’t realize the magnitude my mistake until almost a month later when I was done moving and inventorying my cars.

I don't actually into selling but the thing that I regret is playing my MAISTO 1:18 scale LAMBORGHINI DIABLO 30SE Metallic Purple... This was given to me by my Uncle who used to work before on Royal Caribbean Cruise Liner. He actually bought it from Miami, Florida. Even today I have this car but it is totally depreciated for a collection due to its damages. :(

I never sell any of my hobby stuff lol, i actually find alot of good cars here in Cali flea markets, i found the Ken Block Fiesta for 50 cents, a $TH Challenger for 50 cents again, and a whole case of 20 1960-70s Redlines for $22, i searched some of the cars from the lot i bought and one of the Redlines was more than $100 (the one i even saw for sale on ebay was all scratched up)
Bro, I still have my Ferrari 575. What really makes me upset, is that I smashed it with a hammer. I used to play with hot wheels monster trucks, and I didn’t know anything about cars. I now found it, and the wing is bent and roof is smooshed down by a hammer 😭

And I've never sold 1 car before and I just keep buying more that I don't have yet.
I have the Agera opened and bought it at Walmart clearance 4 years ago. Forgot about the collection until this vid and found Agera.

Me and my daugther have only just started - not got to a point where we want to sell.... my wife might have different thoughts though. At the moment we are just having fun playing with them and creating content. That Ferrari Racer looked sooooooo gooooood!!

I did not sell this car, but I traded it with a friend. It was a older bmw m3 with this cool blue and reed checkered pattern, it’s not worth much it had a lot of sentimental value for me. The sad thing is, that friend moved away so I can never get that back😭

I remember in middle school when I took a golden Shelby gt500(not real gold) for an assignment and it got stolen. I still feel so dumb for even taking it. Luckily the baby blue bmw made it safely home.
A big wave in Cape May, NJ caused me to lose my favorite pair of goggles. :^(
In the past i loved customizing hot wheels and one of those custom cars was a BMW M3 GTR in the NFS Most Wanted 2005 style and my dad sold it on EBay for 5 dollars ;-;
There was a car (2009 Nerve Hammer: Green) that I traded with a kid at a water park, cause we were playing one of my Popular Hot Wheels Games.
And ever since, I regret trading it.
But I bought it off of EBay and I got it in my hands once more :)
Appreciation, depreciation. HotWheels collecting should be all passion, profit should be secondary. Funny thing is, everyone gets hung up on profit, eventually. The collecting becomes about how much money instead of how much pure joy. HotWheels is a patient mans hobby and very cyclical. Eventually you will come up on what you sold.

We all have seller regrets, but as long as I can buy something else. To me at the time was worth it.
I lost a Taildragger from 2000, it fell behind the kitchen of a life size Sunagon. I really really missed it, i bought another one on card 3 years ago. And my first collection i sold way to cheap. And then i decided, that it was a mistake to quit collecting and bought my favorite cars back at a higher price. I still want a 2004 First Editions Maserati Quattroporte but they are to expensive now imo.
My frustrating moment when i lost my Lamborghini Urus model should be my 4th Lambo collection after i had the Lambo Reventon roadster...i lost it coz i put it on a sofa for just a few minutes and then she disappeared... Regreting myself.. Still i almost complete my VW collecion...(EDIT) I also lost the Ford Gt 40. #hotwheelscollectoradventure
