There is something endearing, and wonderful, and surreal about 2" road engines for me. The same as there is with 3.5" gauge locomotives. Big enough to pull you and your family but small enough to go in the back of your car and sit beautifully on a mantlepiece or dinner table. Strangest and most special thing in the world to me. Just occurred to me also, I drew this very engine in front profile for Simon on commission!

👍👍 Yes 2 inch Scale is a good size, my 4 1/2 inch Scale Showman's engine is a bit big. This engine was a mess when the current owner brought it to me for repair . . .

Remember, lift with your legs not your back folks. And if you can employ the young next door neighbour for the heavy lifting, even better

What a wonderful little engine !
It looks like there are quite a few 'small' jobs to keep you busy for a while, in fact the harder you look the more you see !

Lovely engine, if a little worn and in need of attention.

Great little traction engine with 672,000 mile of fun by the owner over the years just like us at are age need a little TLC and perhaps a few recondi parts but all and all you will make it right and run great for another 40 years
