Khalif Battle COMMITS to Gonzaga Bulldogs! How does he fit? | The Zags aren't done yet!

- Mark Few and the Gonzaga Bulldogs secured a commitment Arkansas guard Khalif Battle this weekend, who picked the Zags over Villanova and Kansas State. Battle averaged 29.6 points over his final seven games with the Hogs, and his experience coming off the bench makes him a perfect third guard for this program.
Battle will likely play a lot of minutes alongside Nolan Hickman and Ryan Nembhard, shifting Michael Ajayi into a small ball four role and hurting the minutes for Steele Venters and Dusty Stromer. Still, this nine-man rotation is as good as any in college basketball as this team looks to get over the hump and win a national title.

FYI, Zakai Zeigler tore his ACL February 8th 2023. Ziegler came back and became a First team all SEC and The SEC Defensive player of the year this past season. Cant wait for Steele Venters comeback this year! He will prove all the doubters wrong once again like he always does.

Just when you think Mark Few is finished, He ends up loading up with NBA talent. Gonzaga now has a National Championship team. I guess all of Mark Few's Fly Fishing is now paying off.

Really exciting to think what the offense can look like with 3 or 4 shooters on the floor and Ike/Huff scoring in the paint.
Like you said they have the potential to have 3 or 4 shooters on the floor at the same time which will really open things up for the post players. I think it can also free up driving lanes for the guards. Would like to see Hickman do that and get to the line more. Potential is there for a scary good offense. Go Zags!
Good to know there is a ton of depth. If Ike, Huff, or Gregg gets in foul trouble Zags will still be good to go.

Now there are 9 solid players which means less Hickman and more rest for Nembhard. Also, Stromer and Gregg will lose minutes to Ayaji and Venters. This would be the deepest team in sometime, maybe ever. I like the increased depth.
Yep! He was playing his butt off at the end of the season for the razorbacks almost 30pts a nite last12 games.
Such an awesome portal get for Few. A lot of doubt around his ability to get a guy like battle to come to Spokane. Awesome for the program, but for next seasons team they get a dimension of a “bucket getter” they didn’t have. Cannot wait for next season to start. Let’s get a defensive big man and finalize the roster!
