This is a cool install. Considering the customer is financially savvy enough to use some gear they already had on hand, the upgrades over time will be interesting if you ever do updates.

If you have a Marantz or Denon AVR it's worth your time to look at OCD A1 EVO script. I have no affiliation, just used it myself a couple days ago and it really improved my bass fidelity of my three subs. czcams.com/video/lmZ5yV1-wMI/video.html
I think if you are starting your theater journey to audition towers, and not marry them by going in wall with a little more install effort. However, you were right that if he went in-wall, the acoustic transparent screen would have made sense with a larger screen. VERY hard to light that screen that big though.

@@Professor5180 it was a difficult install as far as the pre wire. Im guessing thats why the previous home owner chose to do the chase run.

Plus don’t Marantz/Denon use separate individual sub outputs?
why not in wall speakers? In my opinion it was be the best solution for such place.
