Why would you only have 10 max g minis? In solo you could place like 28 more minigunners (assuming you also have 1 dj and 3 commanders and 8 accel). That's why you lost, I understand now
It wouldn't be so easy if you did this in 2021 (pretend that merc base was a tower in 2021 and shotgun was reworked like this), because after you beat it you would have to encounter hidden wave and I don't think you could win against that lol
No they didn't die. If a summoned unit has a shield from a field medic from a mercenary base, they can withstand any killing blow 1 time regardless of the damage they receive. It's like a second chance for them. If you're using a summon type towers like elf camp or crook boss, it best to put 2-3 medic on your merc base so that they can last for awhile in the front lines.

Take note that per field medic, they can only cover certain number of summoned units meaning they can't cover everyone + field medic can't shield themselves so they will die first hand + those who are not shielded when they reach the number of shield limit. When they reached their limit, they can no longer shield some of them and that is what you see "dying" there. You should check it out.
@@scientificmatthew1351 riot guard is the only merc that has more than 500, the shield also protects from enemy attacks only now so it did work against the stomp, the only change was shield doesn't deal extra collision dmg anymore
