1.Empty the bladder in the morning as usual when you wake up. Do not yet collect the urine 2.Note the start time and write it on the label of the container as start time and date 3.Start collecting the second time you urinate and continue until the same time the following day (All urine must be in the container) 4.Exactly 24 hours after the start time, empty the bladder and pour it in the container 5.Write the finish time and date on the label and your name 6.Properly close the container and make sure that there is no leakage or potential leakage 7.Return the urine sample to the urine parhology reception as soon as possible or on the day the collection is finished
After your doctor put in the lab order... it's best to go straight to the lab after leaving your visit. The lab will supply you with a testing kit. You can write directly on the storage container or apply tape to the container so you can write your name, birth date, time & date of 1st & last urine.
You forgot to mention that you need to keep your urine cool and refrigerate and if you are a female you will need to use a hat and this may get good for someone who may be in a wheelchair and other methods like a male urinal to collect but it must be a clean one never used.
This can't be important to gather all urinating during 24hrs just a couple bouts will be fine since they only give you a very small container...use milk carton if needed also
Use a hat? Not sure how wearing a hat will help a woman collect all her urine. Classic, the video shows a bloke standing to pee but not how a woman sitting on the loo can collect it all. I don't know any women that can stand and pee nor any older women that could use a potty.
@@erinmale2183 so whenever you wake up or get up you pee in the toilet not in the container. Now check the time. Your 24 hour test starts now. So the next time you pee go in the container and then let's say you started at 3am meaning at 3am you got up and peed in the toilet.....so tomorrow at 3am get up but pee in the container ....not in the toilet. The whole thing is that the first pee doesn't go into the container because that pee is from the previous day.
@@erinmale2183 just an add on to the other reply.....it has to be pee that your body makes within a 24 hour period. That's why the 1st pee doesn't go into the container but the last pee does.

If you urinate 10 times a day, the 2 pee time is collected and every time after that until the next day. Example: Sunday November 26th 1st urine: @6am. No collection. No written data. 2nd urine: @9am. Collect urine from the small container then dump it into the large container. Record time for that collection. 3rd urine forward you only need to collect & dump the urine. No data (date & time) is needed again until the last collection on Monday around 9am ish. Take the sample to the lab on Monday morning. Then go about your day as usual. Don't forget to write your name, birth date & the name of the doctor whom ordered the test.

Every time you urinate you must put it in the refrigerator. And you must return the refrigerated urine within 2 hours of the last urination.

If you are doing 24hr collection they give you a 5litre container to collect it in, but who has a fridge that can fit that in?

You void the first collection at the start, but what about the first one the following morning, isn't that too concentrated?
