As the father i also assumed it was speed, but the was not the case, after talking with the kids, they were in neutral rolling down hill, one child simply crossed the path of the other , clipped bars and the kawi went down. my child has been riding for years without incident. although we appreciate your help, assumptions were made by myself and others, that simply aren't correct, in the kids defence they had a long hard day of riding and everybody was tired. happy trails, till we meet again.
thankyou, i just seen this video recently, therefore the late response, this was our first time at vedder, and we all were very tired, myself included, the kids wore me out, the two boys were ahead of me and eager to get back to truck. lesson learned. more importantly I was happy to have someone there on scene immediately. I do believe I did not get a chance to thankyou as getting the boy some attention was priority, me and my boy are very grateful. on a side note, my son is now on a 125x also and we look forward to seeing you. team blue rockstars you are. cheers
@@t.spencerrrr thanks for the support Spencer , it means a lot . also It wasn’t meant to be directed at the boys but everyone in general, it’s hard not to want rip the roads , I have friends that have been seriously hurt on forest service roads and seems like people die in these roads every year.( in general,not vedder per say ) 👊🤙
I had a stock 03 yz125. All i did was put on some woods bars and a 52T rear. Thing ripped trails and tech. Im 35 now and a little heavier but looking to get a bike again. Not sure if i can handle a 2 stroke 250.
That's funny to me because I was just thinking the exact opposite- "I don't know if I can handle a 125 on trails"... It's been many years since I rode a 125 but I remember them being more "on/ off". I guess it's more how a bike is tuned and less displacement. Still, I'm looking into a YZ-125X My first bike was a '96 WR250 (wide ratio YZ) and my current favorite is a KTM 300 XC-W which I think is the easiest woods bike I've ever ridden, just behind that WR I had when I was a kid which was tied with my friend's RMX250. It's probably a preference type thing, but I feel like the 250s/ 300s put power to the ground the most conveniently (Motocross bikes are a different story)
I've been trying different bikes for fun, now I'm considering a YZ125X after seeing how light they are... I can't figure out if it has the same gearing (actual transmission gears) as the regular YZ125, or if it's a wide ratio. Some people say it's wide ratio, some say it's geared down (sprocket and wheel size) and some say it's the same. Any idea?
Got an old 82 IT 250 Boysen reeds and FMF pipe . I'm surprised it sounds just the same as your bike . Looks like the west coast of Canada ? Hard going and watch out for the greasy spots !
Hi my friend. The yz 125 its ok for paths?? All my friend buy 250 2 stroke except me i buy 125 yz 2006. I don't go yet in big paths but in my island i visit some small path's with step's and i go good with any problems but i don't know in big paths like this if i can to climb up like 250. What do you think?? Thanks a lot
If you are a smaller rider like myself I think you should be ok in the bigger trails with steep climes, I putt a 11oz fly wheel weight in my bike and that makes a big difference as well Thanks for watching

I was gonna buy a KTM 300. I would rather get a 250X, as it looks like more bang for alot less buck 🤔
