Turkish is getting hammered, because he stubbornly refused to acknowledge Havertz's growth, when it was clear his form had improved. It came across as petty for the sake of being right.

Honestly, I think he makes a good point, but Lee's is better. If we were to completely revamp/enforce the laws, it might not be a pen, but why would they start at that specific game? Lee rightfully says it's been given as a pen for god knows how long. So how you can complain and say it's not a pen is crazy. There are multiple elements to refereeing a game, not just the laws. A ref won't always get it right therefore consistency is key.

What's Jordan saying? It's a penalty. There's a foul there. As a former professional goalkeeper, that is a penalty because I've left my feet there.
Secondly, no Arsenal fan will ever complain if that is given against us. That has been given for years as it's the rule.
I think Havertz was smart to leave his foot behind but ultimately the goalkeeper fouled him so the penalty was fair imo

Jordan's beef with Raya is disingenuous...both Ederson & Allison have made individual errors over their careers. Allison gave us a goal through a complete headloss earlier this year. All goalkeepers will sometimes make individual errors.

Solanke impeded Raya with his hand. Watch it again from every angle. Also, the referee blew his whistle before the ball hit the net. He couldn't catch the ball because he was greatly obstructed.

At the end of the day when a Defender makes a slide tackle in the box to challenge for the ball;miss the ball and leaves their leg in front of the attacker, the responsibility is not on the attacker to jump over the goalkeeper(which does interfere with your attempt on goal)- the responsibility is on the defender to make sure they get the ball.
The manager will be angry at the goalkeeper for making a mistake. It’s a consistent and fair rule.

Fans underestimate how incredibly strong profrssional players are in the premier league, how a slight touch may be more impactful compare to a normal person. Solanke deliberately prevented Raye from reaching the ball, his body language, eye direction had that pure motive and while it was not as blatant as people prefer to see, those mischievous play makes a difference to getting an unfair advantage.
29:20 - Raya was already airborne when Solanke nudges him. That's the foul right there. If it's a defender, almost not given, but it's a keeper already airborne and in the 6 yard box, the fouls is given. C'mon Jordan. Even with the nudge, he still got his hand to the ball. You can't call that out as an error man!

I play rugby, I disagree with Jordan about Raya needing to be stronger when collecting a high ball. I've been nudged in the air whilst jumping and it makes you miss calculate the trajectory of the ball.

For the penalty, from the referee's vantage point and in real time, it's a penalty. From the slow motion replay, we can say it's not but, going by the "clear and obvious"rule, VAR is never going to overturn it because there is contact.
On Bournemouth's goal, l can't believe nobody talked about the fact that a Bournemouth player is actually impeding Raya's hand which the ref probably interpreted as the reason Raya did not catch or get a solid punch on the ball. Combine that with the push on Raya, it's a foul all day.
James, did you not notice that Solanke put his hands under Rayas arm and how that reduced his ability to punch the ball.
The criticism the Havertz penalty got is ridiculous. If Kane does that, they name a park after him and call him a genius.
