Eh I'd think maybe he'd consider it appropriate treatment for the peice. It's probably sentimental over all else and it was kinda at the point of no return. A passion project for a religious price. About taking something that was probably destined for a burn pile and making it New rather than maintaining its original artistic integrity. It's probably not a great masters work but something to be loved, Cherished and kept alive as long as possible
May be a reincarnation rather than a restoration, lovely work none the less

This restoration spoke of so many Eucharistic elements with the placing of the nails in his hands and feet, the body and blood, and the power of his sacrifice. I was deeply moved. Thank you.

Спасибо за проделанную работу. Давно слежу за Вашим мастерством т.к. имеется подписка. У меня для Вас есть просьба, исправить не точность. И это существенно ! У Спаса на голове не шапочка из синей ткани, как и на бедрах, а терновый венок. Поэтому там и торчали гвозди до реставрации, символизирующие шипы. Спасибо.
I believe you are incorrect. As you can see Jesus wrap around him is blue and gold. The headpiece is blue and gold. You can see the vine wrapped around the blue headpiece. The blue is used for many people. My holy cross has a white wrap and head cloth. That is the way it has been where I live. I have seen blue and red. AND it is not a wreath. It is a crown of thorns. You can see the small thorns not nails or spikes.

I worship an empty cross because Christ has risen. But with respect to other beliefs & interpretations, what a wonderful restoration from your heart in celebration of Easter. Lovingly bringing 'back from the dead' an icon of faith. Any church would be proud to have it presiding over the altar. Thank you for your dedication in restoring items of history to remind us many things may have changed, but not all for the good! ✝️

Such a loving and respectful restoration (spiritually as well as physically). When the nails were removed and then rehammered ...it was emotional. The message at the end was beautiful. May the Lord of salvation be yours and bless you.
An excellent job of restoring Jesus on the cross.. The only thing I think should have been done differently would be to make the cross rugged.. Remember the song, The old Rugged Cross.. But u did an excellent job, as you always do.. Happy Easter and May God bless you and keep you safe in these dangerous times we live in..

The ending of His Earthly life must be balanced by his years of teaching and gentle uprightness. The knowledge we are the wandering sheep cared for by the Good Shepherd. Such a beautiful restoration, the love and care you took is obvious, most in today's society would have thrown it away an bought a new one. I do not normally leave comments anymore, but I wanted to show my support for this video. It was uplifting to see you restore this Crucifix. Where I live, Christianity is currently under attack by very wicked people in positions of power. These evil people would be offended that this video was even made, and there are many here who would have been afraid to openly show their faith as a result. It was a pleasure to see the effort and respect shown during this restoration as well as in the explanation at the end. I had to smile to myself when I saw the gold leaf. The Crucifix is the greatest symbol of self-giving love, and even of truth itself; we can always trust in God, but it is especially encouraging to see that there are still people who are willing to restore and venerate this symbol of Christ. Christe Rex: adveniat regnum tuum, in cordibus nostris, et ad mare usque ad mare. Maria, Regina Caeli, ora pro nobis. [Christ our King: Thy kingdom come, in our hearts and from sea to sea. Mary, Queen of Heaven, pray for us.]
I was so surprised to see the the arms were jointed, I've never thought about that! That goes to show you how old of a piece this was. I actually liked it put back together as old as well as the restored version! A master of talents for sure!

I will preface my statement by saying I am Protestant. Many of my fellow Protestants would disagree, perhaps, but...I need to say a few things. I'm a little emotional at the moment, so bear with me. The great respect with which you treated this project is wonderful. I cringed when you began pulling the nails out (though I was grateful to see them removed), but it was quick and done with gentleness. I will admit I did not want to watch when they went back in. Even if in imitation I would not want Him to suffer more than He did. Regardless, I thank you for this beautiful demonstration of respectful skill. God has granted both you and Veronika with great talent, and given your deep respect for the project, I am certain that Christ smiles upon your work with approval. Thank you very much, and Happy Easter to you and yours. Beautiful and respectful work, and I thank you for it.

I didn't know the Easter days all have colours in your country. This was is a beautiful object after your restoration Radek, you did a good job. I am watching your video on Easter Sunday and we have the whole family coming here this afternoon.
