Viktor Reznov Same I didn't understand de flashbacks and references. For example I was confused that Reznov was thrown in the gasroom by his own leaders or that Mason puncht Reznov in the face and one second later they were suddenly friends. Now I am older I understand the story and realise it's fking amazing!
I've noticed on their way out of the prison who ever that Russian guy said this: 1. Secure the keys. (Obtain the keys from the guard) 2. Ascend from darkness. (Take the elevator to get to the surface). 3. Rain fire. (Use the slingshot to destroy the guard towers). 4. Unleash the horde. (Rally the prisoners with the broadcast system in Vorkuta). 5. Skewer the winged beast. (Shoot down the helicopter). 6. Wield a fist of iron. (Acquire the Death Machine). 7. Raise Hell. (Storm the prison guards). 8. Freedom. (Escape the prison). These are all the things in black ops 2 zombies origins to complete the easter egg
Oh, Thanks! The reason why i did this was because i was first looking up how to finish origins in black ops 2 zombies and then i camr across this *****
It's funny because when I first see older games I think "Man this looks bad! There's barely any contrast!". But overtime your eyes almost "adapt" to the older graphics and they don't even bother you.
wAveURonKiLLcAm Yeah, I consider it second best, a good focused villain rather than the generic goons from the other games, plus the varied gameplay and choices are cool too.
I hate what the MCU did to Nick Fury. idgaf that they made him black, but they totally disrespected the character. Nick Fury lost his eye in WW2 to a grenade blast, not to a fucking alien cat.
pretty cool story but even though MK-Ultra was real, it was the CIA testing not the Russians and also numbers stations were not destroyed or found, some still exist to this day.
AranE Games Nobody said MK-Ultra was russian. "It was their attempt at MK-Ultra." Hudson even says it's CIA, but what Mason went through was the russian MK-Ultra clone. Also, this numbers station was destroyed alone in this story, for the sake of the story.
I remember playing the mission as Reznov and being mind blown when Petrenko showed up on screen and you see him from reznov’s POV. Just like when soap does in mw2. I love those moments man.
The editing within the cutscenes doesn’t get much mention but man it’s phenomenal. Plus, there’s a bunch of interesting nuggets within them. Operation Pluto, Nixon’s photo with the Operation 40 overlay (Nixon was head of 5412 committee that set up Pluto/Op 40) The 'La Coubre‘ incident, False Flag Operations, Chemtrails, Secret Societies are overlaid into the graphics, Bilderberg Group, Bohemian Grove, MJ12, Committee of 300. In the JFK cutscene Oswald, Jack Ruby, and images from JFK’s funeral are on the televisions. Not to mention the storyline of MKUltra, Manchurian Candidates, Paperclip Nazis, JFK Assassination. This game basically redpilled me at the age of 11 and got me interested in learning about 1960’s history, specifically the Assassinations.
I looked everywhere for a longer cod:bo movie but no luck. I figured movies of about 2 hrs or more have more content rather than just cut-scenes, but oh well! Nice job with the upload considering not a lot of people would sit for hours and make game movies from a video game.
I'm only 17 and a half minutes in and I can already tell why everyone calls this a masterpiece. I loved playing the remastered campaigns for COD 4: MW and MW2, but I'd prefer BO's campaign to be remastered over MW3 at this point. It's funny. Usually I'm bored as fuck watching playthroughs but with this? Hell no. I'm fucking glued to the screen.
Just started season 6 and I HAD to look up BO1 when I saw Mason, the TV's and the voice talking to Adler, all I thought was WHAT ARE THE NUMBERS MASON ?! Lol
I absolutely love how shits going on in the background as Mason is killing Steiner. What an amazing plot twist. Truly the last time I was really surprised in a Cod story mode that made me emotional and engaged Edit: Check out the detail in the crazy look in Mason’s eyes as he really thinks he’s Reznov. Amazing detail and love went into this game. It has “soul” And Hudson probably would’ve been able to stop Mason had Weaver gone in second since he didn’t do shit to take the gun from Mason Speaking of Hudson..I love how he punched Mason into the next cutscene lol
Hello I’m jay from 2021 and if your seeing this congrats your an og or have taste of an actual good game have fun and remember what do the numbers mean
i would have liked for their to have been some footage of the player scenes as that includes awesome things as well. it also would've made things more cinematic. but thanks so much for this.
i go to sleep listening to this video a lot it’s just so perfect everything about this is what makes a good story i hope they make a movie about this game at some point
I do this too. This video in particular as it skips the gun fights so majority of the time you are listening to the story plot. And its's rly good.. it also helps me relives those good days as a kid :')
Also, is the chic at 15:56 the one that’s saying the numbers in masons head? Wasn’t the recordess shown to be smoking a cigarette too? Could just be a coincidence And I feel like they missed a gem when Mason said Hudson was an ice cube, when you literally have Ice Cube voicing Bowman 🤦🏽♀️ And Weaver really doesn’t get enough credit in this game. He doesn’t die either! Making him a joy to listen to.
But he still stops you from killing him early and because of what he did he got his revenge from beyond the grave part of still likes to think that he did live and is in hiding
wow this game really wasnt for kids huh, i remember playing the shit outta the story and only local multiplayer cause my parents were too cheap for xbox live lol, my three brothers and i all crammed in front of a tv the size of a large gaming monitor, yelling at eachother not to sneak looks at someone else's small portion of the screen, I'd never win cause i was the youngest and not very good at the game(now vet story and bots dont cut it for me haha), but after that we'd switch over to zombies and only hit roughly round 17 on an amazing day, i'd sacrafice almost anything and everything i have to be that little again, to enjoy games like this for the first time again, and only having to worry about getting my field trip permission signed by my mom, sadly its something i know i can never return to, and video game studios will never make games like this one again because all that matters is money
Anyone else here ironically and because they used to love this campaign and now they realize how absolutely nonsensical it is? Like it's a total acid trip
i was too young to understand back then now i realize how deep the story is
Viktor Reznov Same I didn't understand de flashbacks and references. On fucking god dude. This is by far the best storyline in cod history. (My opinion)
yeah and the political aspect of it all is crazy

Same
best story in a CoD game, hands down
great character development with the whole Reznov thing, I wish every CoD campaing was like this
agreed. WTF happened :(
mudturtlevision MW3 happened.
***** i think AW had a pretty good story besides the futuristic part
+bluebull103 I did to the storyline was great, but not all that exo shit
@@mudturtlevision bo3 happened thats just too futuristic then 1 million other cids were even more futuristic than that
This story was fucking serious.
the only story line that was able to draw me in out of the hole COD franchise
how about that of Ww2.
that too ^^
Evn darker than Black ops 2
blops 2 was a good attempt though.
"The flag may be different but the methods are the same...they will use you as they used me.."
That has to be one of the most haunting and chilling missions in a video game, ever.
You must decide what is right mason
Crazy how mason was desperate to kill dragovich in bo1 while woods was desperate to kill menendez in bo2
Well mason was being mind controlled at first by then when he realized what he did to him I do the same tbh and also nice similarity
@@retrospectro9486 ya
Cod black ops 2 worst Fucking Cutscene
Haven’t played this campaign in over 8 years, just here for the nostalgia
For me this campaign was unique. It wasn't like the other cods which is good.
This game is actually brilliant
Jacob Celmer you’ve only realised this after nearly 10+ Years?
They will never make a COD this good again, it’s so sad
yeah man 😢
this is the best movie ever

Oh, Thanks! The reason why i did this was because i was first looking up how to finish origins in black ops 2 zombies and then i camr across this *****
Caleb Choi When I heard "Secure the Keys" I thought the same thing! I looked up the steps and BOOM! I was amazed.
Yeah I like how they done that it gives memories
Thanks
Hey Dad.
.... Mason where the hell have you been for 30 years?
You are already really Alex mason and David section mason
No... thank you
Dragovich, kravchenko, Steiner, ALL MUST DIE.
Man I remember this game having the best graphics ever...crazy how time works man.
Graphics are still pretty decent
It's funny because when I first see older games I think "Man this looks bad! There's barely any contrast!". But overtime your eyes almost "adapt" to the older graphics and they don't even bother you.
Bruh i can't believe how deep the story was. I'm starting to have feelings now
4:21 i get the chills everytime
Hey Hollywood, Remake these cutscenes and turn this game into a movie
No they would ruin it
They’d still find some way too ruin it
I prefer a remake but the game
Not a movie
@@Mikamibaird honestly i want one too but there's a high chance it would be ruined
@@y3s197 why
Wont you play modern warfare remake ?
Is great nothing change but the grafics
Its like the only Call of Duty game with a decent story.
Also like how Weaver looks like Classic Nick Fury.
BO2 had a good story cheesy and run off of but I liked the background of the enemy character
wAveURonKiLLcAm
Yeah, I consider it second best, a good focused villain rather than the generic goons from the other games, plus the varied gameplay and choices are cool too.

@Travis Maguire the campaign, no ones talking about multiplayer
@Trav campaign and zombies are good but let's not mention multiplayer😂😂
They don't make campaigns this good anymore lol
This went over my head when I was a kid, but looking back now this story is amazing. Looking forward to playing Black Ops Cold War soon.
RIP Woods and Bowman. I miss those good old Black Ops 1 days 😟 (2010-2011)
Nick woods ain’t dead till bo2 and even then if you get the good ending he lives
RIP Mason and Hudson
Mason can stay alive if you shoot him in the leg instead of the head in Black Ops 2

Is Reznov the same character as the Reznov from COD World at War??
yes
Yes
yes
Alex Mason and so is Dimitri.
Yes
THE NUMBERS MASON, WHAT DO THEY MEAN!?
pretty cool story but even though MK-Ultra was real, it was the CIA testing not the Russians and also numbers stations were not destroyed or found, some still exist to this day.

Who’s exited for Call of Duty Cold War ?!

i would have liked for their to have been some footage of the player scenes as that includes awesome things as well. it also would've made things more cinematic. but thanks so much for this.
best call of duty campaign easily
BO1 AND MW2 BOTH NEED REMASTERS!
SUCH LOVELY GAMES THEY WERE!
Modern Warfare 2 got a remaster. Now we're just waiting on Black Ops and Modern Warfare 3.
Black Ops 1 is and will be the best BO of all time...
Black ops 2 is better, haven’t played either campaign but bo 2 zombies slaps.
