Anima Prime has been attacked by a generic evil corporation looking to hunt dragons and grind up anima for profits! The wizards aren't happy about their new neighbours and have put together a plan to carefully craft relationships, marriages, and births to eventually create the ULTRA WIZARD, capable of defeating their foes once and for all!
This is a Magic VS Tech style playthrough where we play the Magic side of things. Enemy factions raid with drones, tanks, mechs, and your standard mechanoids, but on your side you have an abundance of psycasting mods, genes, and wizardly equipment. Everyone, no matter what faction, will be touched by the planets magic in some form, and will be born new and powerful genes which you can collect and inherit through your own colony!

I beg that the ultimate wizards has a sibling who's magically deaf, cause we need a short series after this of them being a villain or a solo start with them or something.
Sounds like a great idea. It could go many ways with what the goal is going to be. Could either be to somehow unlock magical powers as well or to gain alternative ways of getting powers (bionics, super powers, Gene splicing and such).

If the magical deafness is genetic maybe he could be wanting to transfer his mind into a new cloned body without the deafness? Or transfer his mind into the body of a gifted wizard who he feels squanders their gift. Or something like genetic engineering to remove the weakness.

If Melton becomes a wizard her skillset is actually really good for getting more colonists. The higher tiers can help recruit prisoners, teleport in extended family members from around the world, and even, uh, “encourage” two people to fall in love.

if you're going for making an ultra wizard you might want to remove the hunger mechanic from genetics. your ultra wizard will be too busy stuffing their face to ever be able to go fight if they could even eat fast enough to keep up with the hunger rate.

@MrSamuelStreamer the only point where this might become a problem is baby food. Make sure you stockpile increasing amounts with each mewling infant. And also with each baby, the comments section can pound sand if we want to hoard it all to ourselves.
I love the idea of Burt and Rambunkulus having little bit of a rivalry over the Grand Mage title. It even continues in a sense with Burt imbuing the dragon with his essence and then Rambunkulus slowly aging the dragon to keep himself young, slowly trying to make Burts dragon die of old age. :P
I fully expect that as soon as the Muffalo madness is in full swing, Mr. Streamer is going to change Cryomancer to Cryptomancer just to spite the VFE team.

Mr Streamer, the fact that you named the Dragon Duncan is great, since you named your faction the Kwizard Haderach and Duncan Idaho is a major character in Dune. He married a few different women during the series named Alia, Siona, and Murbella. Might I suggest naming the female dragon Siona since the children of Duncan and Siona play a super major role in humanity and in the series in general.

I think you need to increase the number of fields now, more colonists and a lot of hungry animals means your fields are too small and it is better to plant some extra before the starvation hits even if Burt can speed things up.
Meditation Cushions feels like a wizard innuendo if ever there was one.

You should connect the different towers together in places they overlap, like say a Druids hut has a bunch of plants around it, but also it has cooking on the side where it connects to the hall of elements via fire, and a brewery where it connects to the bard tavern.
It is criminal (but also hilarious when you imagine it) that these dragons do not have glorious hoards to sleep on and are just snoozing on the colony floor.
You need to make a separate, decorated storeroom for your jewels and your silver and gold and such where the dragons can have their dragon beds.
Also the Gallatross really needs a den somewhere too. And maybe a name lol.

I think one thing that would enhance the series is if the relics were the most op armor and weapons in the game, but only THE ULTIMATE WIZARD could use that and nobody else, also i think if not much trouble for you Mr Streamer, make so that when THE ULTIMATE WIZARD come to this world he or she should go on a quest where the reward is unlocking all the dormant mutation in his/her body so a baby at the age of 7 could be the leader of the colony.
Obviously, Amos is just going to join in to Wildfire's harem.
I'm amazed of your skill to make all these themed playthroughs and making them look like it's not even Rimworld, I'm really enjoying them, thank you!
With how fast people age, it seems like there’s no point having access to more psy trees when they will die before they can unlock them and also increase their stats enough to really use them all. As a suggestion maybe give a large multiplier to exp gain and have each gene that gives access to a psy power tree also give a bonus to exp gain speed. This way you can actually max out the trees over the years and the ultimate wizard (or the ones that are close) can actually max a couple of trees and have the capacity to make use of them before they die.
I think he intends to use chronomancy to allow for some long lived & high level mages.

Considering the lore of dragons teaching wizards magic, I really hope we see a draconic sorcerer somewhere down the line. To those who've never played D&D 5th edition, draconic sorcerers are people who are born with magic because they have some sort of connection with dragons. One of the most common origins for draconic sorcerers is that they have a dragon ancestor, whether it be an ancient ancestor or one of their parents.
Looking at the aesthetics and the fact that Burt uses magic to connect with dragons, literally sending his soul to them, it can be safely said that Burt will establish House Targaryen in the future and become a powerful blood magician from old Valyria

I've been playing the modpack (tribal start, generated different planet) and have been loving every bit of it so far! I've had a lot of run-ins with Rimclaws in my colony, lost 1 colonist and 3 animals to them and they keep wandering in despite me using the Corporation merchants to kill them off. One had a showdown with a dragon and won (both bled out eventually and fed my colony for weeks)
Various spell schools have "utiliy" spells - like, frostmancers can create magic ice that acts as a cooler to freeze meals, artificers can animate chunks to help with hauling or fighting, etc. You should always when possible use them instead of tecnological alternatives! Like, using skipmasters to travel instead of vehicles, etc.

I absolutely cannot confirm, but in my experience Word Of Animals always succeeds (with a few exceptions, inc the Djinn). The % shown seems to just be the original taming chance if it were a regular taming interaction. I may be completely off-base and the fact that I'm commenting on CZcams suggests that I am almost certainly wrong on this!

I'd like to see the galatrosses as combat mounts and dragons utilized as the amazing tanks that they are, rather than lining up the wizards and hoping that they don't blow each other to bits or get engaged in melee
Now I know you like to not have immortal colonists, but one of the main things of wizards is extending their own lifespan, so it'd only make sense to have them all always trying to prolong their lives through whatever means they can.
Rombunkulus’s shipmaster abilities allow you to make skipgates, and there’s a nice little mod, allowing pawns to pathfind through them. It makes traversing large base very easy :)

Hear me out. What uses all 3 elements fire, ice and electricity?? What would eccentric wizards in the middle of the forest all want? The pinnacle of mid evil luxury. The A/C unit but magical. The perfect control of all of the elements and thus control of the environment.
You may benefit(?) from knowing that step-siblings are able to become lovers and have children without the game freaking out

I've never, ever had word of animals fail, used it on all sorts of monsters and dragons and so forth. I don't think it's even possible for it to fail

two things: it would be cool if the dynasty of burt would be the dragon riders/trainers/whatever, and rambunkulus having a dungeon of prisoners to keep him young would be pretty sick. that would make him the permanent leader, an ohm-like character leading though the ages, the true kwizard haderach. and the ultimate wizard could then depose him as a false prophet and take his place as the righteous leader or whatever. if you want more ideas, you know what channel/people to ask ;)

The bard class does not need a wizard tower: the tavern/recreation room is their happy place. Maybe a performance stage like we saw in Jerrygpt?
Harpers, a prestige class of Bards, had a headquarters in the western Forgotten Realms called Twilight Hall, which was part of a complex of towers in the city of Berdusk. Also a (relatively) squat tower stronghold/vault called Korinn's Keep in the Korinn Archipelago. Not to mention, outside of a D&D context, in the city of Solitude in the lands of Skyrim, the Bards' College is vaguely tower-like.

honestly you should invest in the thrall ideology where they enjoy serving their masters, not minding cramped quarters, and long work periods while also encouraging them to populate more than the wizards as it makes a lot of sense for a wizard to have a small army of thralls to maintain their mansions.
Also invest in a decorative mod that allows you to decorate buildings with paint/etchings to help theme your towers- which should be made of bricks to prevent mage-related accidents.
Plz try to tame more dragons, it makes sense if you invest in a dragon breeding project since they ARE being hunted to extinction and the wizards DO worship them. Also each wizard having a dragon familiar upon reaching mastery would be EPIC, or at least having a tower with a dragon protecting the tower. Also works well with having essence transfer with each time the previous one dies.
now that you have 3 dragons it would be really cool if Burt used animal essence to bind all 3 original colonists to their own dragon and have them be these dragonbound elders above everyone else

There should definitely be a mage named Magical Trevor at some point in the colony. Everyone loves Magical Trevor, because the tricks that he does are ever so clever.

I continue to propose using the Skipdoor in the Skipmaster to connect the various halls to a "Main Tower"/Hall fully enclosing all the other halls so you have to go through the portals in the Main Hall, there's a mod to allow pawns to auto path between skipdoors on the same map.

Wizards do not give birth! They merely cast an incredibly complex spell with their bodies to create an improved clone. "Genetics" is just an excuse for how innately talented a wizard is, which means they are better at making a new wizard!

Cool Idea would be adding Rimworld of magic mod ... but making it so psycasters and Rimworld of magic users think the other form of magic is taboo.

For setting a theme for each school of magic you could use a minifridge for the school of frost and a candle for the school of fire maybe a toaster for the school of lightning etc etc. cost effective at least
Burt is never going to have a child with Wildfire, but he might conceive one with a dragon.
Now that you have the dragon breeding program, every wizard should have a soul link to a dragon.
Maybe only the leaders of the different magical halls, so it feels more special.
