Yet sometimes it almost seems it's a home game for opponents in Dallas. It's all about the home team fans selling their tickets to outsiders, never know what team they will be cheering for.

(1) Aikman ran a normal play AS CALLED even if it looked like it may fail. Defenses can disguise looks too. You have other downs.
(2) Based on (1) above Aikman didn't out think himself and make mistakes slinging the "oops" pass because he thought they something a try to prove he's smart. QBs today will ALWAYS opt to pass if they have half a chance. They seem to lack situational awareness. Dak shouldn't have any options to run or pass during certain parts of the game. He's a better QB when doesn't have to think! Don't give him that chance! Aikman didn't have that chance.
(3) OC's today don't seem to care about situational awareness, just want to throw, period. Too many times they let the other team back in the game with the "that's our game" attitude. Remember Atlanta vs. New England in the SB? No, this doesn't mean sitting on the ball, but the calls must be relatively safe and assuming the QB is currently ON. OCs figure they become the latest gurus if they throw the peel a lot. Colleges and pros are paying super top dollars for OCs. OCs figure the way to get notice is gadget design and a lot of high fly flinging. If the ball is on the opponent's 1 yard line and it is first and goal, many OCs today will call a triple reverse then throwback to the QB who tosses the ball to an eligible tackle who will back lateral to a trailing RB. If it works the OC is a genius and will be sought after far and wide as a head coach.
(4) The Cowboys then had a strong HC. At a strategic part of the game Johnson told his HC -Norv Turner how to run things HIS way (Johnson's not the OC's). I don't think McCarthy is that strong or strategic, or know how to throttle back. I understand why Aaron Rodgers didn't think much of him game time.
A win is a win and I'll take it. The defense played lights out! But to be honest our offense has to play better if this team wants to make it far in the playoffs. There's no way in hell this game should of been as close as it was

Dak Prescott plays like he has no clue as to what he is doing and the Defense has bailed him out in the last few games. He needs to get his head in the game
I agree. Gotta be better on offense. Against a better team that may be a L. Defense has kept us in a lot of games. Dak seems to lose composure at times. Man I think we should sit Zeke. Guy is obviously beat up. Go Cowboys!!

I love the defense but they gotta finish games. You can’t let WFT come back in this game like that. And the offense has to be better. Idk what’s been the issue. Ik the RB group isn’t 100% with pollard out and Zeke being banged up he needs some time to rest or something. I don’t wanna go into the playoffs w/o a healthy zeke or pollard and the WR have to be a bit better when DBs tend to be more physical.
As a Washington fan, I'm just surprised that we were able to rally in the fourth given all the injuries we had. GG cowboys, glad to see the new energy in the rivalry.

Yep Dallas has a monster on defense. Meanwhile Washington took their 2nd pick in the draft last year and threw it in the garbage with that colossal bust chase young. It will be the difference for years to come.

The thing I like about this Washington team is there is always a feeling like they are still in it. We havent had that since RG3 and Brunell before him. I think they would have won if Carter had made that snag at the end. the momentum was riding high.

As a lifelong Dallas fan I am so happy for this Win, but having said that I'm really concerned about Dak - he plays like he's in La La land of late - He just throws the ball hoping his receiver(s) in the area might catch it - I mean is he even reading the defensive coverages half the time? - In addition we were horrible in the Red Zone in the second half. We have to do FAR better if we are going to even stand a chance in the playoffs..

play calling isn't doing him any favors either, for some reason Kellen Moore has been calling these god awful plays. In this game for some reason he was obsessed with the WR screen on 3rd and Long. We need the aggressive play caller we had in the early part of the year

An a Washington fan I can honestly say I’m not as disappointed as I should be🤷🏾♂️. For us to only lose by 7 shows that we can still fight but we just gotta capitalize at the right moments. Definitely need to look for Tyron Smith replacement during the draft. Love the guy but it’s time.
Wouldnt go that far he is still one of the best. The injuries to anyone on that line messes the chemistry of the whole line up. Martin and Smith are still better than pretty much anyone in ghd league at thier position but you cant have all the other starters droppin every week.

Idk why but a lot of times Dak just throws the ball without looking at his receiver, like he's so afraid of being hit he just lets the ball go without looking where he's throwing.

Kellen Moore is not ready for head coach. He has alot to learn about calling plays too. Idk why he isn't calling them like during the six win streak, this should've been 45 or 50 points at the end of third quarter. You need the killer instinct like BRADY has, you have to refuse to lose, refuse to give up, refuse to be beat, as a team. No one can hang with this team if they all grab their swagger back from wherever they left it last time.

So many other Cowboy fans try to say 'we won that's it move on'... If the offense can't help the defense out we will be lucky to win 1 playoff game... The offense is hard to watch right now... If it wasn't for the defense we would have got embarrassed today... All that money on the offense and this is what it looks like right now... For all of our sakes I hope they get right...
The defense is the only reason for us winning. Once again, they created multiple turnovers and one was a fumble recovery for a touchdown. If the offense can’t get on the same page soon and put it together, they won’t be able to compete against the Green Bays and Arizonas in the playoffs. You have to play a complete game.
The Cowboys are easily the class of the NFC East, but that won’t be enough come playoff time.

@@imma5269 he’s been pretty mediocre since the calf injury. That and the run game has been nonexistent so they play the pass more. But even so he’s been largely inaccurate
@@yoboiboy4182 the run game is solid. the problem is Moore doesn't stick with it. in the Chiefs game, Pollard and Zeke had 14 carries combined. that is a complete joke. he tires out the defense, Dak with throwing 30-50 passes a game and gives opponents offense more time to score.

The Cowboys have had their issues this season, but 3 of their 4 losses have come to teams in the AFC West. The other loss came against the defending Super Bowl champs on the road (and they only lost by 2 points). That said, they have the best conference record in the NFC.
They also almost lost to a banged up Washington team and let taysomhillrubning with 10 other guys on the field stay close

Rams are similar to the Cowboys, look at the schedule, they’ve lost to 3 AFC west opponents. The Rams may even fall from that #1 wildcard spot, they have tough games ahead.

He has said teams are playing him different too. At the start of the season a lot more blitzing was coming at him and he actually just ate it up. Where now it isn't as much blitzing so he's having to read more of the field and he's not doing as well. BUT I will say he has been more off target it seems since he's returned from the injury. I wonder if it's still causing trouble at times with his accuracy yet.

Two things i agree with are that Kellen Moore needs to be smarter in callin the plays when we are winning late. Run the damn ball more why call high risk throws and the typical 3rd down screen, he cslls that one play so often its like every DC in the league knows whaf is coming. Switch it up a bit dont be so predictable. As far as Dak goes hes got to learn not to force throws an ehen theres nothing there run an slide or throw the damn thing away. If we can get these two to start doin these little things we would be alot more successful on the offensive side of our game.

Grateful for our defense as they saved us again.🤗 I don't know what is going on with Dak but he is not locked in the game and keeps making unnecessary throws to save himself and creating interceptions and bad throws.
Dak's Achilles heel is being too slow to spot open players when under severe pressure. He's no Roger the dodger.

His accuracy isn’t very good and he stares down receivers.
First few games this season he looked amazing tho. Then the calf strain happened and he literally hasn’t been the same.
The whole offence is running like a badly oiled machine at the moment. It's not just Dak, although he's as big a culprit as any. Both the big interceptions looked as though Dak was throwing to where the receiver was supposed to be which could be his fault, the receiver's fault or the play-caller's fault. When everyone is in sync those passes hit the right man full in stride. The rest of the time the QB looks like an idiot.
