Cold Asian noodle salads have become my very favorite lunches. Using either rice noodles or wheat noodles, the variations are endless and it's all light and delicious!
Thank you for this recipe. You make your recipes so accessible to everyone and I appreciate it. I live in a small town in Louisiana and we have no Vietnamese restaurants but now I can try this amazing looking dish! Can't wait!
Bun salad. Chicken. Heavenly.
I was lucky enough to live in San Jose for all of the 1980’s. Vietnamese cuisine was heavenly. Quac Te Restaurant at the corner of 4th and San Fernando was ground zero for fine dining in Silicon Valley.
Made this tonight for dinner and it was sooo good! Love it when you say “mix, mix, mix!”
Bun is one of my favorite Vietnamese dishes and I'm so glad you covered this! I've been dying to learn how to make this at home :)
My husband is Vietnamese and there's so many dishes that I love!!! I love this one but papaya salad is my absolute favorite.
I just made this for my family and it was easy & delicious! I used frozen Costco shrimp instead of beef because it was what I had on hand. The marinade was delicious, and you were right about the mint being an essential part of the dish! I used to get bun bo xao from a Vietnamese restaurant all the time in college, so having this again was a fun memory trip.
Yummy! This looks delicious! You always put a smile on my face! I love your videos!
This is my favorite Vietnamese dish!!! So excited to see you making it, and can't wait to try
The sauce is fantastic! Love it. Thank you.
One on my favorites! Back home on the west cost my family and I went to the local Pho restaurant and I always had the salad with BBQ beef and Chicken. Super good. 10 years ago I moved to the east coast and haven't had it since. Last night I made this recipe and OMG thank you so much!! I'm in heaven! This will be added to my weekly menu!
Tried making this and came out so good! Making it again tonight. Thank you for this awesome and simple recipe!
This is definitely my favorite dish ever. Very easy to improvise as long as you have the core ingredients.
Cilantro + mint is the best thing.
Thank you for listing the ingredients! Made it so much easier.

Nicely done! This is my absolute favorite Vietnamese dish. Rarely order anthing else when I crave Vietnamese cuisine. I am striving to improve my cooking to add this to my repatoire. Bun Bo Xao is 'nectar of the gods'. Thanks again!
Grilled pork bun is my favorite at our local Vietnamese restaurant. When we visit during the summer, that and summer rolls are the only things I'll eat while hubby will order the pho. *Shakes head* I can't say I've ever had mint with it, but they always serve it with cilantro and thai basil, which is really good. :)
I absolutely love it when you make vietnamese based dishes. I eat so much vietnamese food but I never feel confident enough to cook it. these make it looks so easy :D
I will wake up in the middle of the night, and think of the flavor of that sauce and the freshness of that salad. I will crave it for weeks sometimes, its so good!
Thank you for sharing this!!! I just remembered how much I love this dish and will be making it today! Thank you!

I've not seen other Vietnamese people make the curry beef version, but I do love it. :) I love ordering the pork ones at the restaurants with the eggrolls. Mmmm!! So refreshing on a hot summer day. Your recipe looks so yummy! I hope you make more Vietnamese dishes this summer.
