I bought that watch after watching your review and I don’t regret. Very good review. I confirm your opinion about AR. I think it has to do with dial finish. Steeldive has it matt but addiesdive has it gloss where it absorbs more light.
I agree. Rolex submariner and derivative diver watches took away some of the tool industrial aspect of such time pieces. They were first intended with a purpose. Now they are more like jewelry or investment. But this kind of timepiece is the opposite. It may rarely or never be regarded as jewelry. It is still meant to be an industrial tool with a purpose. That is why I like this design better.
Looks very impressive value for money. I do like the tuna but its a bit too thick for my wrist sadly as I would get one for myself. Nice work with the video
Just bought same watch on Ali for 51 GBP plus taxes. Good value for money. NH35 itself worth near 35 GBP. I know they are ordering thousands of movements from Seiko very cheap but this is still a bargain
We could have this Addiesdive for 52 euros all taxes included during the last Aliexpress promo using all the coupons. But I don't want a heavy weight on my wrist. :)
Great review Tomas. I had thought about getting the Steeldive version but now you have convinced me to consider this one. But Steeldive produce great watches, and I have the Capt. Willard on a rubber strap. Have you looked at their Squale homage - the SD1979 (?). Now that is a good looking piece and it would be interesting to know your thoughts on it. Love your enthusiasm for these watches. Cheers.

it's a hybrid of the two... "a decent quality watch made in China that pays homage to teh original Seiko design". Dude, this watch is fitted with a highly regarded and reliable Seiko automatic movement. It provides a good 'flavour' of the "Tuna" at a bargain price

With Addiesdive & Steeldive, you do get a lot of specs & value for money, in my experience. Nice job with the video.

I think SD1979 looks beautiful with the black dial. What keeps me away is 42.5mm and ~150eur.
But at the end, which is better between the two? Steeldive or Addiesdive?
I like to wear it when I open a can of tuna...

Willard homage is more comfortable, because this Tuna homage is top heavy. Both are equally fun, can't really pick one, sorry, I like them both.
