A Power Fault on North-South Line caused a HUGE Disruption at Kranji Station...

On 3 June 2024, an unfortunate incident happened to be on one of the busiest MRT lines in Singapore, the North-South Line, where a lightning strike hit the power box at Kranji station at around 5.45pm, which caused the traction power to trip. Free Bridging Buses were deployed between Woodlands and Choa Chu Kang to serve crowds taking the MRT towards their destinations. This situation lasted for more than 2 hours. SCDF Fire Trucks and other Uniformed Officers were called to the scene to direct traffic and control the huge crowds between the affected stations to ensure commuters' safety.
