When anyone takes their eyes off of the Lord, they can quickly fall back into the sins of their past. According to someone he worked with, he just quit praying. Isn't that just about right? When we stop talking to the Lord, we are lost again. Gratefully we have a Savior who can pick up the broken pieces and make us whole again, if we surrender to Him. Prayers.

I’ve been a premium subscriber for about a decade Father Mark and the news not only shocked me but also saddened me as I’m sure it did those who knew him and worked with him. And yet there’s hope, I believe, Fr Mark, bcoz at least he admits he needs help and is going away to get it, leaving behind all his work and his life’s investment of time and energy and missionary zeal. At least he admits he was in denial for so long but has now found he can’t let down his apostolate and all those who looked up to him for guidance and for camaraderie. As well, knowing of his past testimony about how he began this work years ago, and what he was before it, it’s really good to see he has the courage to seek help and admit his faults. That’s the good part bcoz God loves a repentant sinner. So many among us act as if we are saints already and put up an image of holiness when in reality most of us are broken inside and very wounded or addicted, or imperfect. That’s all of us in the inside as God knows. So it is indeed good and we pray he will be restored to what God had always willed him to be. Thank you Father for reminding us how easy it is to miss the boat.☺️🙏🏼

Exactly, I am not perfect, so what, he "cocked up" so do so many others and rarely lose their position we need Voris and Niles and team to come back and not be so precious its the word of God they were the best at ,the analysis of scripture and the story line for Catholics were and are genius. Please don't chuck this away because of an indiscretion,embarrassing well yea, but the word of God and how he and is team presented it invaluable.

I view it as we are all human, all sinners, and always being tempted to veer off the road we know is right. There is holiness and there is wholeness. He is going to try to become whole. Every major religious and cultural figure doing good is being attacked by the devil and it's evil helpers pray for them and the Holy Mother Church.
And all of the little people too pray for them as often and pious as you can.

Sad situation. I remember when Fr. Corapi stumbled. Satan is just a tormentor, we must keep praying. From what another colleague said he had quit praying, at least regularly. That then is Satans cue. My prayers are with him and the organization and those revling in his downfall.

We all loved Father Corapi and still do. His sermons are on you tube. He was the Best of the Best. He is living the life of a monk. Prayers always.
Michael Voris and Father Corapi are similar cases. They both had disagreements with their organizations or orders. No one knows what they really did. I am happy to hear that Fr Corapi chose to reconcile with his order. Church Militant will fall apart, so I don’t think that Voris will get a chance to reconcile with them.
I am not sure if Voris actually did anything wrong or if CM wanted him out, which is understandable.
Something similar happened in the 2010s between Dr James Dobson and Focus on the Family. Focus on the Family was a mix between family psychology and Christianity, which Dobson founded. It was huge in the 1990s in Protestant churches. Dobson was becoming more and more political until Focus on the Family decided to split with him. There was no bitterness between the two camps and both are still around.

It was so sorry to hear about that. He has done very much good. He had been very prayerful but lately was noted that he didn’t show up for the prayers, a bad sign. But he can always come back again. The ministry he began has many faithful workers who will continue it. Now he needs to focus on his relationship with God.

He stopped praying and leading his organization. He violated the morals clause in his contract, and fell victim to the sins of his youth, thinking nobody could see what he was doing ✝️🕊️

He never really was humble ever. And I’m sad for him, but this might stop his sinning.

I had read the life of St Anthony years ago, and recently looked at again. What struck me this time was a very different picture. He really worked at a life of virtue. Going to different places to learn, with humility. What do they have to teach me? Because you are in community you experience that, and Because you know at any given moment a child, a plumber, a widow may teach you, this is so important. And if the plumber helps you, you still have to work with your brothers.
The Blessed Mother personally did this with St Bernadette. She shared with her things that were for herself. Even later, her superior expected openness to her, but Bernadette had trouble. How could I after opening to the Queen of Heaven? And Bernadette was promised suffering, and received it.

Thank you father Mark for not mentioning his name or his organization. I was very sad when I heard the news but we are humans and humans are not perfect and make mistakes. This gentleman did a lot of good, loves the Lord and he is very smart, but he is human and we are sinners, all of us. Let's not criticize him but pray for him, he is a good man who tried his best. He is loved by millions of holy people, lest us continue loving him and please do not criticize him unless you are sinless. Let's pray for him instead so that he'll go back to our Lord and His Church whom he loves very much. To him I'll say go to confession and God will forgive you, he knows that but felt I had to say it anyway. And to him I'll say: please continue serving the Lord in any little way you can. Father Mark is so correct on the importance of prayer over the external manifestations. A higher up in the media network to which Father Mark alluded made a statement today. This higher up stated that the person stopped praying at the office 2 years ago. He discontinued the recitation of the daily Rosary which the entire staff had always said together.
We must pray for him and for those who worked with him.
It also should be said that Michael himself posted an apologia, admittance of wrongdoing, sorry for what he's done and desire for the mission of Church Militant - St Michael's Media which is "the salvation of souls." The right thing to do is support any Catholic - especially when they're humble enough to admit wrongdoing and even acknowledge that grace can come from it. That's the glory of the Redemption of Jesus Christ, Sacramental Confession and the whole purpose of the Church. No one should be looking down on a sinner - as we all are - or kicking down a dog when he's down. I think the message "missed the boat" is unCatholic and wrongfully attacking a Catholic man who desires to repent. Would that clerics who have done egregious things would do the same - in fact, many of them do so without being removed from their office!

Hi Father Mark. Nothing inspired me more in the spiritual realm than the Way of the Pilgrim, desert Fathers, Saint Anthony of the Desert, Saint Mary of Egypt etc. Much as, sadly, I've not lived up to it. Just to say, blessings on you and your ministry as a priest. You are an example of someone who really strives to enter though the narrow gate.
Yes father Mr Mark , its easy to taken away by this world and eventually to miss the BOAT. Pray for us to have our eyes focused on holiness, to radiate others too so that we all sail in the BOAT to heaven.
They were not putting themselves first. They were Loving God First, then Neighbor and finally Oneself.

I have received many many good things, and show so little for it, day after day after day. God is not only my eternal Hope. He is my hope for each day. Each hour, each minute of my life - which I would like to go well, the best possible. He many times was at the helm of the boat...and he was unmatched in his delivery and blessing he was to me personally...I would suggest you ask your members to pray for him...because to be 100% he is irreplaceable in the gifts God has given him

Beautifully said, Fr. I know a holy person who said he had to see for himself what the desert fathers saw. He couldn’t just take their word for it. Too much was at stake. Afterwards he said he found true gold, only a little at first. But as the years passed, everyone could see he was richer than Croesus. His wisdom is now illuminating others.
These are such difficult times for so many right now. So much confusion and temptation. The enemy is working overtime. I am so grateful for our Lord's mercy. No one is beyond forgiveness. Sometimes we forget this. I will pray for this fallen brother MV. We are all just trying to make it out of here ALIVE with Gods grace!

I lived my entire life not seeing how their lives could teach me something. I thought their stories were out dated . What a waste . I could kick myself. Paraphrasing a story from the Desert Fathers. Upon his return from a village with some needed supplies, the monk reported that he was reminded why they must spend time alone in the desert - for a man to get to Heaven, he must avoid women and bishops at all costs!
