People had criticism of how Remake/Rebirth Sephiroth shows up every minute. Personally, I think he'd be a lot more tolerable he stops smiling like a crazy person every encounter. Like even the fire scene he's smiles again by the end of it. Iike just stop at 0:51 no one needs to see any more than that. Sephiroth is a crazy person no doubt about it but he shows that through his actions, the only really time he smiled in the OG is the SMALL smirk after offing you know who. Advent Children even got it right, idk why he was like this in Remake. He used to be the Darth Vader of videogames, not Jared Leto Joker

Nah the smile feeling really *warm* and the immediately shifting to that blank stare absolutely nails the idea that this man has completely snapped PERFECTLY.
His smile in Rebirth seems a lot warmer, like he’s genuinely happy to see Cloud/Zack. Every other version he just glares angrily.

The Rebirth one was directed poorly. Crisis Core recreated it perfectly.
