The collective collectors gasp!- bar code doesn't bother me as much as the " WARNING! Capable of firing with magazine removed.Read instruction manual before use" stamped on some other makes, along with bar codes .
I hope your share your final version. Watching you dremel the revolver was painful as it sounded, and it sounded like a visit to the dentist with the drill. Glad you shared you doing it and making your tools your own. My only recommendation is to disassemble to make it easier, but I'm sure you'll do that in your final video. I like all your videos.
Fifty years from now-"what happened to this gun?". I understand your actions. I wonder how difficult to take the barrel down to four inches from 4.25. Small detail I know but I just like the looks of a four inch vintage Python with original style wood grips. New Python a little too homogenized.
Bar code doesn’t bug me too much, but still pretty cool to see what can be done in less than 20 min. Interested to see how this ends up after some more work
Hey Mr. Benton, it's your gun, so you definitely have the right to do as you're pleased to it. Man, I don't know if I could have done it though. But I am not criticizing you for it.
@mr2275cur I have been following you for a while. I actually fixed a set of python grips using your method. I am on The hunt for a 4 inch 686 as we speak. That is the last ( for now lol) Smith I want. I was sad to see you are getting g rid of your Revolvers
@@TerryBenton Thank you. I've been watching a lot of your vids since yesterday. Love your collection and all of the videos. It's time for me to sell. I'm in my mid-60's now, and my life's priorities are changing.
Now instead of a barcode there's just an ugly polished crater on the side of your Python, with traces of barcode mixed in...
Oh man that will probably never get fixed!!!!!
So, after all tthat, your gun is visibly defaced, and the barcode is still there. Way to go!
Thanks!!!!!
Never seen anyone spend so much time and effort to ruin a firearm. To each their own!
How did inguinal a firearm?

Very true
You, sir, have giant, moose-sized brass balls. 🤣🙌 I love it.
Lol. I do
OMG! what have you done? Oh yeah, it's your gun. Thanks for showing why stainless guns are great.
Thanks!!!!
Good grief! Next get a thousand dollar bill and remove all the ink.
Ok
Congratulations. You just fucked up a beautiful gun 👌
How did I mess it up?

I have an original 4 inch bright stainless python. Check out my videos. I have a side by side comparison of thr two
You’re good as long as you don’t harm the box. The box is the most important part of any firearm. Next, do the serial number.
I may polish the box in a future video
@@TerryBenton😂😂😂😂😂
I hate the bar code, wouldn’t own a new colt that has one. Plenty of older ones out there for me to acquire. Colt went nuts
@bryanhoffman9806 I have both old and new. I removed the bsr code on this one to see of I could
I do wish they didn’t put the barcode on these revolvers. Just don’t look right.
I agree
😳I learned to live with mine on there….
Cool
You just made my day Sir !!!!
Why is that?
You completely devalued your Colt
Well I do not have to sell my Colt. If you have to sell yours you should probably not buy it
Sam Colt just turned over in his grave 😂😂😂
Lol
Bubba the hack at work!
Yup. If only I knew what I was doing
Can I borrow your dremel ? my revolver is fully engraved 🥵
No you cannot

It came along pretty well. I did two short follow up videos. Just some minor refining needs to be done

@@mr2275cur I understand. Very nice work on restoring thise Smiths. They are all awesome
Where did you get those grips?!? I had the wallet for years!!!
Lol. I had them mad out of python elite grips. Laser engraved. I have the wallet too. I habe carried it for years!!!!
Why bother?
Why not
Because that bar code is almost as ugly as the locks on S&W Revolvers
Nice job 👍 but shouldn’t u have ur white gloves on while u do that 😂
Thank you. It is not perfect yet. The video was just a guide on how to do it
I edited my comment 😂 love ur videos Brother , Happy Holidays
If u sand up to 2000 grit it may make it perfect
@@totljag1 I agree
@@TerryBenton rather, how NOT to do it!
I want to see the follow up video.
I have a couple.as it was being smoothed down. I will post a video soon of the finished product
God bless america! So many strange people there...
Who is strange?
Why not put the gun in vise mad remove that screw so to prevent an accident
Ricky from IBM
It was just a guidance video. The screw will be removed for the final product and it will be secured. Thanks for watching
@@TerryBenton enjoy watching you videos. Please make more
@@k4vms thank you
What about have someone do engraving
I am not into engraving
