But but... but orange man bad! Honestly though, I'm fine with banning the orange man from F1, if we also ban every Islamic nation + China, for their human rights abuses. Otherwise, complaining about Trump is hypocrisy of the highest order imaginable.
Consistency needs to be present on both sides, for sure
@YxYzYx It's probably not too often that they let people run around the garage that tried to overthrow the government in the country they are driving in. Granted F1 isn't unfamiliar qith having guests that do not allow fair and free elections or allow any elections in the first place.
Don't worry, most Americans don't know anything about American politics either.

Seeing the comments and how they are missing the point of the video by a few lightyears, really show how they don't know anything
Maybe you don't
And that's exactly how autocrats like Trump get elected in the first place 😑

We have Formula 1 races in countries which practise actual SLAVERY (UAE, Qatar..), this is a nothing burger compared to that.
You’re not wrong, but it’s also not wrong to be angry about any bad thing. I wish the outrage was more proportionally distributed, but it’s good that people are outraged about something when that something is bad.
Also China with an ethnic genocide in progress.
...or like the US. Slavery was never fully banned in the US. There is an exception to the Amendment that banned slavery that still allows it as "punishment for a crime". With a prison population of 1M-2M, there are a decent number of eligible slaves in the US.
I love how you clowns are always so selective when mentioning countries in the middle east but not a sibgle peep about western countries as if US, UK, Australia, Canada are any better, gtfo
@@Marfman The US prison system is a private endeavour. Prisoners are put to work by the prisons. They are not eligible, they are *actual* slaves.
As a non American, IDGAF about this. If you want to ban orange man from the pits, so should the rest of the celebs.
Come to think of it, might actually be worth it to be honest.
The thing is Trump isn't just a celebrity
He was the former US President, and there is a pressure to show respect, not for Trump per se, but for the office he once represent.
Also considering US political climate, it is just playing safe if ever Trump win again in the next election.
You don't want creating an ill-will against a potential US President.

Brilliant ! just effing Brilliant !
There are a lot of "interesting" people showing up in F1 pits. Banning the orange man from the orange pits starts a slippery slope. Or maybe a good slope - ban all non racing celebs from the pits, that would be cool.
That's basically taking off a important part of the VIP Access for celebs and people who have money to buy and break one of the teams' PR/Media resources isn't it?
Nah, it’s not that hard. Decent people get to enter the garage, other people get to go f*ck themselves, and who each team invites is a reflection of their top management’s values from there.

I suggest we do a trial case by case, in fact we can televise it. Someone pitch that idea to Netflix, possibly endless content. If Netflix shows us the door there's always History channel... 🎉🎉
This is the right take. Even from a democrat's perspective, there's significantly worse people who tour the garages and meet the drivers throughout each season. The ONLY reason there's an issue with Trump going this is because he's a far more public figure. Anyone who has a problem with what happened doesn't have an issue with bad people or Trump's ethics. They have an issue with someone they've heard of and learned to not like, doing something cool in the public eye. That's it. Otherwise there would be a lot more questions around Saudi princes and the like who do this stuff all the time and do way, way worse stuff.

Political polarization is the real issue here, agreed. He didn't say anything political. He was a guest.
This was fine. I don’t care. Politics is resource extraction idc what the colour tie.
It kind of grossed me out in a way, but also he had a gross interaction with someone I grew up with at a fashion show when he was still celebrity orange man. So I'm not the most unbiased opinion either. I'd love some consistency either way so I can get behind that.
i cant believe that ppl hate trump so much that he cant even be in a picture with mclaren its crazy
Its not hate, is the fact that he try to destroy our country! thus he shouldn't get any respect! period!
@@playa3615 U spelled Biden wrong.
@@Exequor1 I think you just misread! The person referenced was Trump, who created Jan. 6th!
@@playa3615 u are just as dumb as i predicted. who in this world still belives in jan 6 is beyond me. everything was debunked from back to back. stop watching tiktok it is frying your brain.
@@playa3615 oh yeah, ill say that even you will understand. the only one destroying country is Biden.
Well this was a dumb post.
The fact all everyone talking about is the wall merchant and not the terrible stewarding during most races this season to quote James hunt “makes a mockery of Grand Prix racing”
This video could’ve been a cluster fuck, but it walked the line well & still delivered the punches required. Impressive work Will, well done. 👏
Telling Trump no gives him way more fuel to burn than just letting him come through and do the handshake thing. We just need to ignore him.
With that said, he currently has the right and available freedom to be there if he wants, so he was there.
Why didnt he go to the Hass garage, you know the American team, or visit with Logan Sargent, you know the American driver? Why, you ask? Because they were smart enough to keep as far away from that orange turd as possible!
He was invited by the American team principle
@@oldscooterguy1 No he wasn't invited by Zac Brown( look it up). It seems really hypocritical for someone whos mantra is Make America Great Again, would visit a British team owned by the Kingdom of Bahrain, and not support the Americans in the series. Although I'm sure they are thankful he stayed away from them!
Interesting topic. I think the difference is that McLaren didn't put logos/slogans on their car or clothes or going out of their way to make sure everyone hears that message. Hamilton constantly foregrounded his issues and it the black lives matters slogan was visible on the telecast while driving.
UFC allows almost any political statement because they don't give a fuck. F1 can't really do that because they are owned by the Saudis and other groups similar so I can see why politics aren't allowed. Sports like the NBA went far left and now it pisses a lot of people off including me. Being a political is a breath of fresh air in this landscape.
