Hi Tony we got back to the UK 10 days ago from pa tong, spent 2 hrs on Karon beach and the Rubbish IE plastic bottles, beer cans and cigarette butt's was apparent. The "canal" at start of beach by road was disgusting. I'm not knocking them but there was hell of a lot of Russians. Our wife's enjoyed Paradise beach, very clean and beautiful. Spent 2 minutes on Patong beach as we spent time on excursions. Thankyou for your videos on Otop area as we were based at courtyard. Beautiful country beautiful people ❤

We are at the Dusit on Bang Tao beach and there are plenty of nationalities including Russians and Europeans and I must say the Russians I have met (some of which I know from previous years) are very courteous and respectful

Just returned from 10 days at Kata beach; it was totally covered by sunbeds. Hardly any open beach spots. In places the sunbeds were 6 rows deep. It was my 6th trip over 35 years and it was a shock to see. There were jelly fish all over Kata beach too.

Last time I was there in 2017 the police had got rid of all those beach chairs. Seems like they are all back now.

    Thanks for the vlog Tony.
You do look a bit tired at the end of the video, understandably :)
But good info all the way.

I have just returned from my two weeks vacation in Karon. I can confirm it is hot. A bit too hot. The humidity was very high, and there was almost no wind.
I saw a few jellyfish, but not that meny. Jelly fish is not a "problem". They are a part of sea life. They just follow the ocean currents. As far as I know the smaller translucent ones are harmless. Some with a yellowish/red center should be avoided. They can sting. But it could be different in Thailand

Hi Tony, I enjoyed watching a longer video for a change! Once again very informative. BTW you walked past a sign regarding some information to do with long tail boats around 22:37 into the video. 😊👍

😂😂😂 Yeah I spotted it watching the video back will try and cover that fact on a later video as it does seem there are long tail boats from Karon beach 🙂

That's incredible that they would allow things like that in a place that is 100% dependent on tourism, you'd think they'd enforce the highest possible standards to keep it nice, clean and safe. The locals especially should be concerned about leaving the best possible impression

Interesting to hear your buying a place, Would be good if you could do a piece about buying and 33+33+33 year lease etc as I understand you can own the property but thai national owns the land unless you got your own outside company etc etc so will be Interesting to know what you know mate 👊🏽
