Weight lifting improves draw weight. Seems like everyone wants to say the same thing "the amount of weight you lift has nothing to do with bow draw weight", that's bologna. Pull ups, puch ups, lateral raises, bent over dumbbell raises, etc. Helps with bone density and overall health.
Also, just shooting the bow will build up your strength. Go slow if you want, like crank it up a turn or so, a week until you get where you wanna be.

It's usually people that don't lift at all, ever. They don't fight, wrestle, anything, but they have the most to say about these kinds of things. They must be talking about their "high-school "days which they were weak then too 🤣
Plus, how are you going to pull your kill out of the woods if you're weak?
@@Jbainbridge5 it's called a cart. It's one thing to drag a whitetail out of the woods but let's see you so called strong guys drag a bull elk or even a large mule deer a couple miles through the woods.

Adding to your point about draw length. I measure out @27.7 inches with my wingspan just over 69 inches. Usually I shoot with a 28 inch draw, with a 1/2" D loop. It usually feels spot on. If anything, on off days it feels a tiny bit short for me.
I really have enjoyed all your videos! Super informative and you keep it simple and easy to understand. I haven't shot in yrs but my daughter jas recently taking a liking to it...guess its time i start it back up!

iam left handed and left eyed however i also shoot Left handed and right handed bows and im not right handed and iam definitely not right eyed either but i can do both i am also not ambidextrous either also i shoot 28 iunch left handed and 27 inch compound and 28 inch trad so explain me ,, good video by the way

I’ve been shooting Recurve RH draw. But I have always found it goofy with the arrow rest on the outside of my grip. Want to switch to Compound but want the rest on the inside of my grip. So curious if there are RH draw bow with that kind of set up.

Ok, soooo..... I am getting no audio except for the intro at 0:27.
I figured it out. The audio was only recorded on one channel (right). They should have recorded into the Left channel, because if defaults to mono.
Man I am a oddity, I'll explain.
I write lefty, shoot rifle and pistol lefty.
Throw a ball, bowl, shoot a bow right handed. Honestly I've tried doing all these things with the opposite side opposite eye while doing so and it feels extremely uncomfortable/unnatural to do.
If you're 29.1/4 or 29.5, I go 29 make the rest up with the loop.
Matthews will make up the difference 29 inch mod will pull close to 29.5 lol junk

Thanks for the video! A quick question, if I am right handed, so holding the bow with left hand and draw with right, but my dominant eye is left. What you suggest? Start using the "right hand bow, drawing from the left"? Or I can change the sight from one side to another?
Thanks for watching Alex! I would suggest start with a left hand bow and see how it goes. We find in 9/10 cases, shooting from the dominant eye side is more accurate but there is always that 1 out of 10 that going to the handed side you are practically works better.

Audio is only on the left side....
I was measured with a draw length of 31 inches but the shop only had bows up to 30 inches draw length and tried to sale me that. I am looking to get into bow hunting and archery so no experience. Should I be looking for the 31inches draw length measured or 30 inches which is a inch shorter would be ok?
Doesn't seem you were answered. You should shoot the draw length that is comfortable. You will be inconsistent otherwise and have bad form. Either go somewhere else or go back if they have something in-stock that is right for you. I hope you didn't support their poor practices and cave in to buying something not well suited.

I would forgo the Inception considering most sights run out of left adjustment on them.

you lost me at the draw weight part men or women no way you start into the 40lbs range especially if you never shot a bow before there are muscles you use for archery that are not used for other things in life experts will all disagree with you on the weight thing in a heartbeat
