I am using Bestride Mount Manager(currently a bit bugged but they seem to be working on it), BlizzHudTweaks, Immersion, LatrixPlus, Opie, and the last up in the air one is Rarity for tracking all my mount/pet/toy farming.
This is such a huge difference from years past with 20+ addons.
I really liked this video, how you put it together with showing the various different styles instead of just one or what only you use. I've got two set ups currently in my saved UI as I've gone down to the base myself. I've got one with class weakauras and one without. I've enjoyed the one without as lux's are what I used but they just take up SO much of my screen and been getting in my way. I may try the other version you mentioned in the video though as it appeared to be more minimalist in design.
Luxthos is the man for real. The Weakaura folks are amazing and put in so much work. They deserve more support from all of us for sure
I prefer Afenar. Luxthos’ WA is too long for my taste
I like them both but I find that Afenar's often requires less fiddling with the scale. luxthos' are huge without reducing the scale and then positioning them, the default on Afenar is often perfect.
Love this. I’m having so much fun building my UI and I‘m going super minimal with the important stuff all in one place, and just a few TellMeWhen notifications. Most of my addons are actually non-combat. Oh and I wouldn’t know how to navigate through all my teleport toys and items without Opie, especially as an engineer 😅
Opie is the goat add-on and basically all you need especially with how good the stock is now
Opie is probably my number one needed addon honestly. I would be lost without it!

That ring click thing I've never seen before. that looks super handy!
Litebuttonauras addon. Adds buff/debuff timers, and red/green highlights to your actionbars. Very nice if you want your action bars to be similar to some weakauras.

@iFParasit Maybe because they had 3rd party add on support. Really doesn't make sense from a business perspective to allocate resources and labor to UI fixes that are already fixed. That being said, from a customer service, and quality perspective, it should have been done. Have to give credit where it's due and I think it's a great sign that they're prioritizing quality over maximum profit in atleast one way.

@@stevencrosby5251 Id say they _fixed_ it cause they are trying to move the game to other media like consoles and so had to update the UI.
OPie really is a game changer. Bell recommended it in a video years ago and I still update it every patch. It's SO good.

There is a great addon for chat, it's called LS: Glass. It makes chat look so much better by changing a few things and adding autofading. Clean and beautiful.
Oh thank you. I was using the old Glass and had to manually fix it to work with new versions. Knowing that somebody took over it and update feels great!
The one problem I've had with the base UI is the raid/group frames. I really like the little indicators from other addons (like a little green square in the top right corner for renew). I started using Base UI + Vuhdo and have been loving it.
always Vuhdo purely for the customisation options
Check Advanced Raid Frame Settings out. Using that i was able to replace Vuhdo. There some features missing (like frame color change for dispelling), but the author is planning on adding them soon.

Hi thank you for the video! For the Elvui, whenever i try to import the profile, it say that there is an erro decoding data and that import string might be corrupted any idea?
I hadn't tried the new UI until I logged into retail on Saturday. It was nice not having to use ElvUI as I have been doing in Classic. In both I use a variation of what I've been using in FFXIV. It is nice that WoW has finally caught modernized and actually has a few really nice features.
The ui revamp isn't even one tenth as good as elvUi or other add-ons. It's a very tiny baby step in the right direction.
Amazing video as always! Only thing I noticed after getting back into wow again was I think you might need to re-export your ElvUI profile? It doesn't seem to import for me but other, new, ElvUI profiles import nicely. Don't know if it has anything to do with an update to ElvUI or something like that?

Seconded this would be great, current import strings for elvui are broken on their shadowlands profiles.

ELVUI just has so much customization that I don't need anything else. I can just tweak it around to look pretty much like anything I can imagine. Apart from it, I only use a few others (namely DBM, Details, CanIMogIt and Narcissus)

Maybe you can help me out. Seems like most ui mods are triggering LuA errors but the blizzui that you tweaked is something that I am interested in. But I am looking for a few things and don’t seem to find them or not looking right.
1) looking for an option to not have the character portrait on health bar. Am I overlooking this in base options?
2) There a addon that allows you to customize colors ie health/mana etc? ESo has a addon that lets you customize things like health/stam/magic to whatever color you want.
3) There an addon that tracks buffs/HoTs/DoTs. Basically a bar the would countdown inside of numbers?

So using this video I made a UI that I really like, the last piece of the puzzle that I'm struggling with is making my luxthos weak aura act like my other action bars are - only showing when i'm in combat OR if I have a target. The in combat part is easy but I can't figure out the target one if anyone knows how I can do this. Thanks!
I got overwhelmed with WeakAura and tried TellMeWhen instead.
So far very happy.
The one thing I wish TellMeWhen would do is only pop up my interrupt button if the target is casting an interruptable spell.
Hey, I'm not sure if you're familiar with the addon NeedToKnow, it gives pretty customizable options to create your own aura bars similar to what elvui offers. Only downside is you have to create each individual bar, it doesnt just track everything automatically like elv
I watched the i fixed df`s busted ui and this video, in both videos you mention a plater profile "that Matt setup" which you say looks like the original plates but with the plater functionality.... but you havent mentioned a way of actually obtaining it.. assuming its on wago? could you put a link to it or how to find it please

@BellularGaming your Elvui import strings are not uploading due to error codes within the string. Could you update?

I wanted to make a weakaura UI that follows personal resource display. With Plater I can remove the need for player and target unit frames entirely.
The old elvui imports dont work anymore

Hey nice video 👍🏼 is there an opportunity to disable the player portrait next to the healthbars ? So that u only have the health and mana bar ? That's the only thing I don't like at the ui I don't no for what that should be good 😂

I like the Plater look mat mad but it could certainly use an update to more clearly indicate what you are targeting.

Did I miss anything about the UI scale? I used the no-WA import string, and a number of things are overlapping. I play at 1920x1080 at 100% scale.

Before BFA, when I gave a shit about the game, I always made my own UI from assorted mods. I would spend hours per character getting it right, making my own weak auras for everything. Then I just got lazy and put elvui over it. Now in pre-patch I'm back to piecing my UI back together but this time I'm using Luxthros because I can't make that shit better anyway.

Is there a way to only load Weak Auras when you have a target?
add a condition to the group that has all the relevant auras. Something like: all of, in combat false, has target false, then alpha 0%. This will make it so if you're in combat or have a target, your weak auras show. Otherwise they're fully transparent (hidden).
It's an alright change, but it has tons of errors that come if you touch opacity, hiding UI elements, etc. The new player frames suck pretty heavily too.
The OPie addon can also be translated to Oppai in Japanese, meaning boob/boobies. I don't know if it was a coincidence but I find it funny that the addon makes a circle with a dot in the middle as its menu.
I mean its an O-Ring with Pie-slices as actions.

Mine is closer to the old UI only more buttons and larger target and personal icons. Its a bar set up vid but not everyone likes the same esthetic.

Nice guide, when i try to use that hide action bar borders all my skills in the main bar loose their icon anyone knows a fix?
Having issues with plater. For whatever reason. If my target is one that starts as a neutral one it's nameplate will show up on top of them so I can clearly see what I'm attacking. BUT if the target is a hostile one. It's nameplate sits at their feet and blocks my view entirely.. does anyone know how to fix this?

I never understood weakauras. I installed it and tried to use it and couldn't really figure out what its function is. What are people using for and what am I missing out on by not using it?
It can be used for indicating so many things. For example, an icon for an ability, doing what you would see on your action bar, showing a CD for instance. But then also in that same icon spot, can show you the active buff time for that ability. Or stacks of an ability. Or you can create your own resource or health bars, with your own conditions such as change colour when above X%. Or show when a you have a certain item equipped. Or show when an enemy buff can be purged. Or give you a range indicator to target or to mouseover. Or track and indicate how much healing is stored up in Cloudburst Totem. Or track certain things about your environment, like which symbols to match in a puzzle in a dungeon, or boss abilities. Etc. Etc. It's an extremely powerful addon with so many possibilities. Basically an addon which allows you to make your own mini-addons.
Can weakauras make an icon pop up only when an enemy is interruptable and my interrupt is off cooldown?
Precisely without the enemy having to be my target?
I'm looking for something that will scan all the healthbars around me. As a healer, I don't target mobs often unless it's to help DPS them down once everyone is healed up. Interrupting an add mid-healing with an icon pop-up would be great.
The icon for my interrupt appearing when an enemy can be interrupted AND my interrupt is off cooldown would be really helpful.
ElvUi Large and Small versions w/weakauras does not import "Error decoding data, Import string maybe corrupted!", any ideas?
wish you could import UIs the same way we can import specs
I would like the middle location of abilities if i was able to click through. when i need to land a trap off of a stun i dont wanna have to worry about clicking my bars by accident

How is anyone getting Elv Ui to work? I disable every other addon, fully updated version and all get is weird grey boxes near my chat, around my minimap, and my character icon panel vanishes... been updating and updating it since prepatch started and not a damn thing works.
I dont have an option to move the enemys lifebar,anything else is great with the new ui tho.
I dont know if im doing something wrong but when i try to copy the profile into Elvui it tells me the string is corrupted
Weakauras really is a blessing and a curse. There's so much that it can do, it's silly not to have it. Yet while it's enabled, my load times go through the roof.
Have you checked if thats some WA leakage? A lot of folks don't put proper load conditions for WeakAuras and so funky stuff happens. Same with some WAs that track things every frame (not all of those are bad but some are).
@@Coliusz I'm not sure about that, but I always put load conditions to spec specific and what not. I don't use a ton of Weakauras, think it's more related to the addon just being more intensive than others than any sort of actual issue.

I need to try and force myself to give up a few of the ElvUI features that I'm very used to, lots of little QoL and minor features that I know I'd miss. But I really do want to drop as many addons as possible.
It is certainly one of those things that requires adjusting and willpower to get used to not having.
Only thing missing from the blizzard ui, is the ability to move the micro menu and the bags. Otherwise I would use blizzard ui over elvui.

Not really old ui but there is a toggle to switch to something quite simillar in Edit Mode.
I'm gettin tired of having to change the size of my chat window every single time I log back in, it never saves.
I'm pretty certain that the profiles are not working correctly when I import it looks very different
Sadly, your exported profile for ElvUI doesn't work anymore. Any chance on having an update on that?
You need to get the ElvUI Profile converter (another addon) and then use that to convert it to the new style

After being away from the game for a few years, this seems pretty overwhelming. So many changes, I'm having a hard time with my ui setup
The only thing I’m missing is the simple function that all my options are Accountwide
-Auto loot
-party/raidframes Settings (class colors for example are not checked by default)
-tutorials OFF PLS I PLAY SINCE '07!!
And why can’t we edit our Interface on exiles reach before entering OG/SW?

Your layout string with Weak Auras doesn't seeem to match what you're showing, Bar1 is still in the middle, Bar4 and Pet bar arer overlapping, Bar3 sits over the XP bar, and the map clips the bag/micromenu.
