- The 2022 Dacia Jogger was crowned the AA Irish car of the year award last October. The 7 seater took the Irish market by storm offering families the opportunity to buy a brand new 7 seater for under €30,000.
The Jogger nearly ticked every box when it came to the Irish market, in fact the only flaw was that it was only available with a small petrol engine and a manual gearbox. The good news is, Dacia have answered our callings and brought a Hybrid to market for 2023.
We were lucky enough to be invited to the launch in Portugal and after just 2 minutes behind the wheel it was evident that the 1.6 litre engine combined with the two electric motors was the perfect powertrain for the car. Now with more power and an automatic gearbox, the car feels a lot more agile and put together on the open road.
The only substantial difference between the regular Jogger and the hybrid version is that there's no spare wheel as that is now where the 1.2kWh battery is kept.
We hope you enjoy our review, and thank you for watching.

for around 27k euros or under for a brand new one, these cars are great value for sure.
Really Nice images from my country. I recognised almost everything. Guincho, Serra da Arrábida, Cascais... 😊😁👌
Just because of this I subscribed your channel! 😂😂😂
Driving electric 80% of the time not of the distance. Important difference!
100%
It's jargon. Everyone deserves better hybrids (and EVs), but what they're pushing should've been common place 10 years ago when the chance was there.
Over 30K is going into Toyota Corolla Touring territory. Although these have gonne up as well.
Value of this car is somewhat eroded in Ireland by VRT, etc. Dacia need to be keener on its Ireland pricing. As much as I'd like 7 seats the new Corolla estate represents a better buy. Went to Dacia dealer, hybrid earliest delivery end of 2023 for Ireland & certainly won't be "early to mid 30k" but way more. Leave it to Europe to enjoy this car, buggered here !
I have a question. Are the buttons on the steering wheel and on the driver's door illuminated when it is dark?
did you ever find this out?
Is low beam and high beam in headlamps LED? Or halogen?
Low beam: LED
High beam: Halogen
Fog lights: Halogen
What's the colour of this specific test car?
Shadow Grey. It's an exclusive colour only for the hybrid version
@@original_az I can't seem to be able to select this colour on their online car configurator.
@Daan Groenewegen are you sure you have chosen the hybrid version?
A great presentation. I love it. I think you are a true fan of this car! I think i am going to buy it too! Thanks to your presentation.
Shadow Grey
When I see the engine management light on , in a new car, and a review video… I say “Nah”
It's because the ignition is on, educate yourself.
No back up in terms of spares, in case of minor damage on panel or broken headlight or backlight waiting is at least few months, in case of serious damage car is unrepairable, real pain and money thrown away
Hello gorgeous
