Yâall made that look so easy! My toxic trait is thinking that I could do this ALONE lol
I would want to do it myself to save moneyđ But that ain't happening
@@maliroa6113 youâll never know if you donât try. I will be once I get the extra money đ©
Fix your toxic trait thatâs easier then doing drywall by yourself
Actually, putting up drywall is easier!
@@mariiew89 yikes lol

@@squidonline8828 How about now?
When putting up new dry wall in a bathroom do you use any insulation?
I shared you out thank you. Great video
crazy DRYWALL
Shouldnt you have left the small hole for the electrical light socket before installing the drywall up instead of trapping it in the ceiling ? Or is there a way around that ?
Hole can be made after
So you DONT have to tear down the walls as well. Phew!
I love the way you do it at four times the normal speed! When your crew works that fast do you have to pay them at a higher hourly rate?
Wow those guys are really fast!
what is the blue product you used on the studs before placing the drywall up?
Stud adhesive?
some type of glue or adhesive yes
Smurf poo
@@TheRedTeam haha we use to call is Smurf jizz.
Great job
Thanks man
Hi. How much does a job like this cost if you put in insulation between the joists for sound proofing in a townhouse?
Seriously? And you got 5 likes, too. UGH. We are doomed.
i am a newbie when come to this sort of thing. I always thought there is flat wood board, then insulator on top on the wooden board. Then you installed the drywall ceiling.
Would recommend 5/8 or 1/2 Sheetrock on a flat roof with Open celled spray foam in California?
I wish my ceiling was this easy. We are in my husband's grandparent's old farmhouse. Needing to take down the ceiling in the bathroom. The grandfather put up plywood before he put up sheetrock. So, how do I get this down? It's not as easy as your video... Help please
Why would there be no insulation between the ceiling and upper floor? Prior to ripping it down?
What happened to the insulation? Didn't see anything mentioned, but if you remove any insulation like these guys did, you will have less of a mess. Good video guys.
What is that blue paste your using
How would you take care of the area where you removed that border ? I am about to do this but am wondering how Iâd go about it , thank you in advance
we put a crown up, called cornice here in australia
Nice worth boys! Can i ask, why you use glue when you screw the boards up?
its regulation here in australia. Not in fire wall areas though. Its works really well, sticks like glue... literally
How much does a job like this cost? say I wanted to put up double layer thick plasterboard for sound insulation
what would be the price for a similar size room ?
looks simple enough.
Hi, I want to know what that blue paste is put on the wood, and what is it used for?
Hey Diego, it's called stud adhesive. Specifically designed to stick drywall plasterboards
@@Maxkil just curious. Whats the point of putting the adhesive if the screws are already it in place?
@@Maxkil Ho what are your recommendations to replace a water damaged dry wall and ceiling in a certain part of my basement, tiny rats and rodents are just roaming in there wildly, I need a solution, will it cost a lot, or can I have a useful solution to this issue so bye bye to water floods, further damage and and unwanted rodents and rats once and for all.
Cut the area that's damaged out, throw some baits up there, then seal it back up. Seal every entry point of you can. I'm fighting with a couple of mice at home too. Problem is the smell if you bait them and can't find where they died
@@Maxkil That's very true, I definitely gotta block and seal the entry points, but the overall problem is water floods and leaks in the basement Happening with storms and people from stores and apartments over mine in the basement, I don't know if it's the pipes or what, but it all seems to get dumped or released to where I reside in the basement and it's very annoying, I want to put a stop to it so I can enjoy where I live, water free, rodent free, and damage free. What do you recommend I buy more powerful than dry wall. I already purchased water stop concrete, but I want to stuff and seal the openings but need suggestions what material to replace the dry wall with that won't collapse or have water entry no more, I know I gotta seal the pipes, it seems like a lot of work, but would take some hours to do, but not days, cause it's a minor part of the basement.
I keep expecting to see a snake to drop out of there đ đ±đ€Łđ€Łđ€Ł
I just bought my first home and the popcorn ceiling in the all of the kitchen and living is starting to crack on the corners(edges) im scared the whole ceiling is going to fall down one day. Idk why is cracking or if it needs to be removed and replaced đ€Żđ€Żđ€Żđ€Żđ€Ż
Good work but the amount of insulation is very low unless this is on tropical island.
Hey my name is Kimberly Iâm 19 and my bathroom ceiling above my shower started to mold and collect water I was curious what should I start with and how should I go about changing the sheet rock on a budget? My father divorced my mother a couple months ago and itâs just her and I. I would like to do it myself I was hoping yâall could let me know what I should buy so I could get started before it gets any worse. Thank you so much.
Hey sorry to hear, if you were in my area I would do it for you. Just put some drop sheets down and pull it down.
Where do you live? Sorry to hear about your parents divorce! There is a reason why God hates divorce. Sad.
If I have some water damage in the center of the ceiling and the ceiling is starting to sag, how can I be sure I won't pull the whole ceiling down on me?
Have someone else pull it
I just wanna know what the blue putty was for? But this was a great video, basically told me to just start ripping it out!
Its stud adhesive, can hold the sheets without screws for sure
What about the edges ? How do you fix that problem
They mention in a comment installing crown molding
How you gonna air seal the ceiling?
How heavy are those drywalls to lift?
these a pretty light because they are thin 10mm or 13mm
What is the blue product for the drywall
Drywall stud adhesive glue
now how do you do the corners ?
Probs crown molding idek lol
Can anyone tell me the tools they used to drive in those, what I think were, screws into the drywall? Looked like a nailgun but then they did touchup with a screwdriver?
Drywallâs screws, the screwdriver is a check to make sure there grabbing
MAKITA DFR750Z LXT 18V CORDLESS AUTO FEED SCREWDRIVER
What the screw adapter called on your drill please
So, I don't have to go back with the blown in insulation? I'm replacing water damaged sheetrock and insulation in my bathroom ceiling from a leaking pipe.
What kind of nails u use or what inch
How much will that cost for a 400sqft room ?
đđđđđđ
Eye protection?
If I were to attempt this on my own I know for sure I wish I didn't and probably end up with no electricity and house being flooded đ things go wrong when I attempt to save money.
Hehe, I think you will be fine. Trust me things go wrong for me all the time. Thanks for watching
can you just replace a small section of it?
Could you do an instructional one where you explain the process?
It took like an hour? đź
Should use faced insulation.
Why are they putting foam ?
What is that blue stuffed you put on the ceiling before replace the drywall? Thx
Hi that's called stud adhesive. Special glue daub for drywall. Not for fire rated application though.
I don't understand why they took the ceiling down?
What happened to the light?
cable got screwed over, that reminds me.... my friend repaired it... did i pick it up yet... i better go check
What is the blue paste?
thats called stud adhesive, its very strong, used with the screws
Hi, two questions:
1) what type of contractor do I need to hire for this job? What's the job title, e.g. Roofer??
2) What's the estimate cost per metre squared; or per room?
Thanks, From UK
A carpenter. Unsure on pricing.
@@TheFinanceDaddy thanks!
Usually is by sqft. And likely around $30-50 per sqft
If you know how to drywall i would highly recommend doing it yourself, make sure to have the least amount of seams since it will make taping mudding and sanding much easier
There was no insulation up there??? đł
What's that blue stuff ?
Thats called stud adhesive
Ahh, that cool or cosy blow in insulation, hate it.
Easy without insulation!!
Great work , I have 4 years of experience as a drywaller . can i join to your team work
You forgot to put insulation in the right side of the ceiling..
Couldnât you of just covered up the existing ceiling with the drywall instead of tearing it out?
I hate that insulation he scratches everytime đ
me too!!!
False ceiling itself is a bad idea . Make comfortable place for pest
But yea this is how I do shit, fuck everything else. So much fun!
What are you doing with itâŠ

let's watch another video. sho
I didnt find video useful.. im a novice in this area.. wouldv been helpful to play at regular speed and explain process
Sorry about that, try a few of my other videos might see it better.
Your work will never pass the inspection in Canada and in Quebec. You do not have the same construction rules than here.
That's correct. Not even the drywall would pass in your country
@@gillesrenaud6926 thankfully that's not canada that there doing there work at. So guess they don't need to worry about canada rules.
One of the worst project seen on youtube. Is that how you put back insulation?
The worst way to keep it warm...O M G...You have no idea how to do your job...
Keep what warm? Dude what are you talking about
