- We got a NEW Combine! Kidding!!! Isla got a new TOY combine. However we did spend two days putting a NEW Crary Wind System on our John Deere 9870 Combine. I also finished up some last minute maintenance that needed to be completed before harvest. Sorry about the click bait...Not sorry. #greenmachine

Zach Johnson, the “Millennial Farmer” is a 5th-generation farmer who’s spent his life growing, working, and learning on his family’s farm. His wit and dry sense of humor appeal to children and adults alike. A product of the millennial generation, his appreciation of new technology blends with his old-fashioned work ethic, and he offers a unique ability to deliver his message in a way that resonates with lifelong farmers as well as those with no knowledge of agriculture.
With growing consumer awareness about where their food comes from, Zach has identified the need for an independent voice from the front lines of agriculture. Zach actively promotes agriculture by sharing his day-to-day experiences in the agriculture world while providing farmer-to-farmer education to help facilitate a collaborative conversation between farmers and the public.

Ready to see the S780 in the field! Some people must not be following you on Instagram, it’s not clickbait

Looks like daddy's little girl has him wrapped around her little finger. Cute. Really nice to see her involved with some things around on the farm.
She might take over one day!
@@basstrammel1322 hay I agree ya never know ;-) I know quite a few Farmers daughters that have become head of the family farm an they are very good at running the farm ;-)
Don’t rush it they grow up to fast enjoy the moment !
@@kat2641 Hell yeah, women turning the farm around to profit is quite common over here! Or, of course, at least keep the farm as profitable as before. They keep grinding!
No matter how rough my day went I watch your video and I'm just happy with a smile that won't go away. And you did get a new Combine!
I am a retired truck driver. I hauled one of those from Wisconsin to Minnesota and it was one of my favorite loads. I appreciate all you farmers. America's backbone. Excellent video really enjoyed!
Thanks so much for including your children. I love channels that are family oriented.
"Hi, I'm the Millennial Farmer and welcome to Pimp My Combine. Today We're adding an air pressure system to increase our top speed in the field. Going from 6 mph to a wopping 7 mph!"
We used to race Sea-Doo's and would spend thousands for a 1-2MPH gain.
He should had said we are adding a BLOWER to my combine to increase its harvest speed!
Big gain in the field
Well that's about fast enough I've never cut soybeans but the fastest we've been able to.cut wheat is 9mph but that cutting a not so good crop if it's good wheat you can only run about 6-7 mph and that one extra mile a hour makes a huge difference
Going from 6mph to 7mph is a huge difference over a course of a day and 100 acres
Wow a third of million subscribers. Thanks for all the hard work you do for the Ag community. Also thank you Becky for all the incredible behind the scenes work you do!
As an Alaskan commercial fishing (welded aluminum) boat builder and having never spent a minute working "crops in dirt" I find the channel fun, entertaining and Mill'Farmer a lot of fun to watch. Thanks for posting and entertaining.
Nice to see that your daughters combine was a brand new machine and didn’t have issues when carpet harvest started
Don't fuss at us Grandpa's , we're valuable help. My 45 year old son calls me every day, and I'm glad he does. Keep up the good work. Hope the yields are good this year.
That headers looks amazing!! Not a farmer but I can appreciate that beautiful piece of engineering!! Very cool.
She's adorable, not as adorable as my Granddaughter, but pretty adorable. You're a great Dad!
love it whenyou have the kids in the videos Isla probably got that combine with her cuteness
Can't wait to see the combine working and in action, never seen that before, so looking forward to that.
Hope your crops turn out great with a good yield this year, be safe.
Isla is adorable. I'm not a farmer, I'm a retired software developer but I still love your videos.
Your daughter is such a sweetheart! She seems like a wonderful kid!
I love watching these farming videos. The new equipment is so cool to check out
Last time I was this early, Jim hadn’t got stuck yet 😂
🤣🤣
Yooo
2 Years down the line and can’t believe I’ve never left a comment on how much your videos have helped cheer me up and brighten my days threw out the hard times I’ve been dealing with.
Keep up the good work.
P.s I love how you embrace the wide variety of adaptations for your equipment instead of just throwing out the old for new. Shows you have an understanding of not being wasteful.
Much love from Jonny in the UK.
Thank you for all the videos you share. I am a small farmer in east tn and love watching the big machines in action. I know how alot of stuff works but I enjoy your explanations on each thing you do. You and your crew stay safe during harvest.
Thanks for sharing the process. I don't farm, but I was familiar with the CWS. It was cool to see it all go together. Videos are top notch, sir.
“The axle breakage sensor” 😂🤣😂 And that must be the sensor that lets you know your axle fell off 😂🤣
smcox1991 wow I was scrolling through the comments while watching the video and read this at the exact moment he said that. what are the chances? 26 min long vid, ~1.5 second line, so 1/1040 chance or approximately .096% dang
Calculator or mental?
I don’t know much about farming but always knew it was hard work. Thanks for the technical stuff loved all that info
I worked on a 1029 acer farm with my father raising wheat. oats, flex, corn, cattle and hogs, in 1948 to 1954, when he decided to rent the acers, due to his age/health and I did not what farm due dust, wind issue . Enlisted in the USAF 1955 thru 1975, but always admired the farmer for there endurance thru many harsh issues/ conditions. I have enjoyed watching your UTUBE channel💘, the changes in farming, equipment, soil analyses to optimize crop production, your family growing up and working together. My HEART SWELLED WHEN I SEEN YOUR CHILDREN OPERATING THE GRAIN CART AND COMBINE. I WAS THIER AGE WHEN MY FATHER LET ME DO THE SAME. I am 84 now and cherish the sweet memories as you and Becky will in your years to come. GOD BLESS YOU AND YOU FAMILY. "AND GOD MADE A FARMER" PAUL HARVEY SAID ALL FOR ME
Sometimes I haven’t got a clue what you are going on about. I live in England and was a stonemason until hips went. Interesting stuff you do keeping us informed and entertained cheers Jamie
Me too (the living in England bit), but it's still compulsive viewing!
"Didn't even finance it" Rolling fat stacks!
Nice explanation of how the air system works
I hope her new combine does well with harvest this year! Thanks for another great show.
LOL good to see Onna isn't a millennial, wasn't scared to get her feet muddy she headed right into the corn behind you.
Hi. Man, I really appreictae your videos! I am from Canada, did a lot of farming in Saskatchewan; (crop rotation, Summer fallowing, harvesting, the whole bits) Al of your techniqhes and upgrades to machinery make a lot of sense to me and how u explain procedures is very informative. Please keep the videos coming!
It rained again.....2019 summed up 😣
....took 12 mins 😂
Running a 635F here, holy, that extra few feet makes it look massive.
Prayers and blessings to you and crew.
We have ran Crary wind systems for 10 years. I wouldn't want to cut without them. We installed a system on our new Gleaner 9255 draper head this year.
Probably the best thing we spent money on that payed for itself quickly was a Crary Air Reel.. wasn't the cost of this set up so it made up the difference a lot quicker tho lol..
Local custom guy has a crary . Friends say it’s the hot ticket!
Fascinating technology. Will be interested in hearing about the improvements
The more I watch these videos the more I miss our old 9770STS.
put a piece of reflective tape on both the head and cart. line them up and set the head down.
I thought I'd seen it all, but I just watched a video of a farmer who took his truck through a carwash during the rainiest autumn in recent memory.
Strange times we live in.
I debated it but it hadn't been washed in 2 months!
No lines...
Loved the reference to the axel sensor. Still one of my favorite lines.
Wauw! This really makes my heart beat faster! I love farming equipment and farming. Seeing this and hearing the engine go, oh my! Butterflies in my stomach.
I live in The Netherlands. Unfortunately I don't have a farm. But my horse is standing on a farm. A diary farm. 160 cows, biological farm too. Really nice to be there, smell the farm and just enjoy the view.
I worked as a veterinary assistant and that is how I came on farms a lot. Delivering calves, dehorn them, feeling if they were pregnant, etc. I love it!
Informative video - never seen a CWS before. It will be interesting to see if you obtain a notable harvest gain. The Lumax 1403 is a good idea - order me one. Keep um coming
"Check as been written" leaving FSA I know that feeling.....lol
Love the fam action. Also like that you explain things for non farmers
Becky, excellent job on the time lapse portion of this video. Zach you're a bless man.
10:58 I almost pissed myself laughing. That was one of your funniest moments, "I think that's the sensor that let's you know if your axle has fallen out"
It's a throwback to when that actually happened to this combine during harvest before. Said the same thing then
“Sometimes it looks way more loyd christmasy” 😂 i died
Kevin Biggerstaff ☠️☠️☠️
I'm not a farmer but really enjoy learning about farming great story👍🇺🇸
Your poor daddy! He drove that just fine! Love your little girl. Son's going be a future farmer.
Man y’all are lucky for getting rain, here in Mississippi we need rain
Aftermarket installers must appreciate your after harvest cleanup service you hire. Your equipment is as clean as new.
I’d like to see you get “You Betcha Myles” back on. He could bring you a 56 can Busch Bushel. Buuuuuussssssch.
You and your daughter are a class act, by the way. Very cool.
We need every American to watches videos like yours, so we all can understand where food comes from, and appreciate the nonstop hard work that goes into it!
Millennial farmer: It rained again
Me: That’s where all my rain went
So you're getting all the rain and it's going around me.!
He stole ur rain
It's crazy to see how innovative farming has become. Hope it works well for you guys. Good luck on harvest. Great video Zac 👍
Good info for us non farmers. Fun to your daughter helping
The part with the cats “what are you doing your not even their mom” I about fell outta my bed laughing!
I laughed pretty hard. That was awesome
“Are you excited about that?” *shakes head* “me either”😂😂😂
Thanks for the explanations. I was too embarrassed to ask because today's farmers are so much more tech. and machinery savvy than this old guy could ever comprehend. Have a safe harvest guys.
The new combine looks amazing.
Don"t make it all to complicated for Nick if he shows up. He"s just used to a simple C. . . uhm, R. . combine ;)
This is the first time I got clickbaited by a farmer
You're welcome!
@@MillennialFarmer lol
@@MillennialFarmer hey, a demo of an s780 is better than nothing at all especially since you get it for most of harvest
Me too
Oh I think if you sit back and relax you'll find that there was no clickbait here!
Hook line and sinker, you got me with the combine...... But I think your daughter got you better...
All ready to go hopefully your harvest will turn out great
10:98: oh yes that was...unfortunate.
Btw: I've been watching your videos since two years and I really enjoy watching them, because here in germany farming is really different (most farms have cows and grain) and it's really interesting to see how you work.
Aww, I cried. I really wanted to see a new combine!
Congratulations to be on trending glad you are on it cause farmers need to be heard
That’s a “centri....” what fan Mr Johnson??
Loving the “Off the husk” podcasts by the way. Very amusing.
When do you sleep?
Sleep is for the weak....
Whenever I can!
Always worried when we fire up combine each season. "Did it always sound like that? Did it always feel like that?"
I know the feeling!
I have an old NH haybine that I pretty much always have to fire off and shut down right away! Free-run clutch doesn't always grab...and it always sounds like it's going to fly apart no matter how much its lubbed.
@@MillennialFarmer I
Im not the big deere guy but im Really exidet to See that header in action and thank you for the good work you do and those whos helping👍👍💪💪🤘🤘😀😀
You would think that farming is boring, but seriously this is interesting and he makes it so much better.
We're going to need a bigger fan to blow the snow off of the beans.
Same here. Grandview MB.

funniest thing I've heard today
Or as those in the midwest would say
At least you have crops in the ground that are growing
I subbed because you were so kind to the substitute mama cat! When you said to her.. that's nice of you... I was hooked. 🐈🐈🐈 Your daughter is adorable.
I like when you let onyx drive the combine and the
other tracker .
If she wasnt so cute I might be mad about the new combine thing 🤣
I actually thought you got a new one
or did we????
He is just teasing us, check out the instagram account... :)
He did he just didn’t “show” it in the video, on his CZcams story it shows it in his shop so...
Daniel Marshall they got that combine with the tracks for a demo for harvest just like the challenger
They got a toy tractor
That baby girl is a KEEPER!!
Really great videos! I'm not a farmer but really enjoy learning about your business. Keep up the good work!
I should've learned after Brian's farming video did the same thing but with a "tractor" at the Farm Progress Show to never believe a Millenial making a CZcams Title
Love how he calls it a soy bean header where I'm from it's just called a header😂😂
We have corn headers here too so we need to specify!
@@MillennialFarmer oh we have corn headers aswell but as a personal thing to us we call them foldems because all of ours fold due to our narrow English lanes
Added a AWS air bar to our header 2 years ago and we figure it paid for itself in reduced losses the first year. Looks good!
New subscriber, great to see there are still hard working American families
Zach with your haircut you really look like a cross between Eddy Muenster and Moe from the 3 stooges.
Definitely leaning more towards Moe for sure!
Ron Meier .
Look at the ground, look at the ground! Knuck knuck knuck!

"You can't double stamp a triple stamp Lloyd!"
Awesome machine!!! That header looks huge now, it will be interesting to see it in action.
good think to keep in the combine is the shop towels called " Tub o' Towels" so awesome, clean really well
When the dogs were wrestling you should have said you were going for the "underdog" get it?
I see what you did there...
CLIKBAIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm kidding, It an AMAZING video as usual
He is just teasing us check out his Instagram ;)
20:05 nope
Follow him on facebook or Instagram.....he already explained that the S780 you just glimpsed is a long term demo like the Challenger tractor was last year.

@@duramax3597 yup now I see it...
That green and yellow equipment looks great... GO PACKERS!
That multi-coupler system, I landed that business with Deere. It’s cool to see you show that in your video. I’ve since moved on to a different company that supplies to Deere, but it was cool to see it out in the world.
I thought you were too naive to clickbait then I learned I was the naive one 😂
Blame it on Becky!

hmpf, toy that is

Thanks for all the great Video’s!! So glad to see David Gray found his calling after make so much great music!!😜👍👍🌽🌱
Ya your gonna need the tracks lmao
South Sask Farmer lol they did get a new toy combine haha
We ran a air system on our old combine and vowed we would never use one again
How come ? Not a farmer, just curious. Thanks.
There is always somebody.........
Oh man you guys are gonna have maximum production with that new combine!
During my years working on a farm in Australia, we always used a flex- front and blower system to harvest man and navy beans. Good stuff, U want be disapointed.
You wished you had our weather it rained 4 times since the end of august
