Man, I just bought the TruGlo Fatbead for my Mossberg Maverick 88 and sure enough it did the exact same thing. I tightened the bead and it stopped perpendicular to the barrel. I thought it was a faulty bead, but I see you had the same problem. I backed mine out a half a turn and added a drop of blue Loctite. Good to go!!
I had trouble installing one of those, so I called the 800 number and asked for instructions. I was very quickly put through to a technician who talked me through very carefully trimming the sight base to get a perfect fit.
@@connorgoebel7665 2 years later, you use a file. Brownells sells a special hand cutting tool used to cut down the under side of the bead sight to time it.

I live in Springfield MO, home of Bass Pro. Honestly, no locals go there= its a tourist trap. Prices are high on everything (but hey, its a beautiful place). If you want a good deal on gear we go to walmart or Academy. Academy sports beats BP and Cabelas almost every time.

4mm socket is the most appropriate tool for removing the bead.

Can you tell me more about your shotgun? Is that a magazine tube extension or just a long screw cap? Looks really cool flush with the barrel
would it align straight if you reversed it out and then screwed it in starting from the left to right orientation it ended up in?
